I read somewhere a while back that when the government realised how much money they were loosing by letting the airframes go they shut the door. Not forgetting that Russia is yet again the worlds bad boy so that can’t be helping

Was it one of these new builds that was at Duxford for a while with the OFMC?

Its a great museum, I’ve not been in for a while but I really enjoyed my last visit. I just hope it does not get swallowed up or forced to close due to housing. I am not sure if the land is owned by the airfield or not.

They might be pleased to announce it but I’m not pleased to hear it! I often buy advanced tickets for this show but I really don’t like this trend in airshows for a number of reasons. The first one it that on 2 day events you have to pick your day, fine if both days have the same display but this hardly ever happens and then you get the one addition your desperate to see on the day you haven’t got the ticket for. Another issue for me is that I will miss this year due to the clash with RIAT, however the last time they clashed RIAT was rained off so I got to go to Legends that option is gone. Due to work ect I can’t always confirm I can attend events until a day or two before the event, again this narrows the options of attending.

As long as we don’t get the begging bowl thrown at us at every appearance then I’m happy, oh and please don’t call it the ‘peoples Meteor’ !
