well i dont beleive that any media has a generally a negative agenda to all, but merely they are backing something up, and that backing up reguires an enemy of some sort. And media is on the trigger position to determin hoe the enemy-images are born…

Yes but then we come to the issue wheter western media is ‘free’ and unbiased, and not driven by some sort of agenda…

To me, from my own political views and reality things arent so, and I smell lots smoke behind this all thing. Its almoust too unreal, like a big scene trying to achieve some sort of conclusion to improve western imperialistic grip over middle east, and make it publicly accetable to perform a military operations in there. The 911 did made the muslim world a ‘evil’ for a while, but the Iraq invasion brougth supraisingly strong resitance from europe to US actions. Maybe they are now doing clever cover up to widen the canyon between these two civilications…

…or im just beeing hallusionist.

But fact remains, that western media has managed to make out a moneymill for themself, by their own fooling around, which is rarher intresting point of wiev if you look it that way, from that angle.

You should indeed get your facts straights that the Minsk, Kiev and the Gorshkov all belong to the same class.

Sorry Crobato but you have bit missinform in soviet carriers. First of all Baku, the third of the Kiev class is ten years newer than Kiev, and it was orginally fitted with far more superior systems onboard. Now many of these systems will be replaced in the modernisation but that was already in soviets mind when they designed the whole vessel. Those Bazalt launchers, unlike the previous kievs had no reloads beloow the deck becouse they were mented to be quickly repalced with full lenght flight deck ending up to ski-jump. It wasen’t never done by so by the Soviets, but it was an option. Also the Hangar facilityes were redesigned to incorporate the new Yak-41 which is almoust equal in size to the MiG-29K. Also the radar system was similar as in Kuznetsov and the ship tested the system and served as a prototype for many of the systems later fielded in Kuznetsov.

Regardless it is still the same class and it is still quite small for a carrier.

Small???? It’s bigger than De Gaulle only surpassed by Kuznetsov and all american carriers. Also the coming ADS will be far smaller, some 252 meters long and 37,000 tons displacement.

You know that’s quite funny; there were peaceful protests in Lahore(Pakistan) today yet BBC or CNN didn’t show them. Instead they showed the violent protests which ‘only’ happened in Damascus. There were peaceful protests in London, Paris, New York, Toronto, Washington, Los Angeles, Sydney, Jarkarta, Dhaka, Karachi, Kabul, Terhan, Baghad (of all places), Dubai, Cairo, Istanbul and many other cities all over the world. Why did the western media choose not show these protests? Well instead of drawing an answer, I’ll leave it to you to deduce your personal conclusions.

But thats only News policy…people dont want to watch peacefull demonstartions but blood and violence. In here, the bigger issue has been the torchin of the danish embasy in Damaskus. The mentioned these other normal demonstrations as well, but in sort of bakcing up the rising gloom and fear.
And I havent wathced BBC and CNN so i cannot say a much about them, but do you personally think that the violence should have been left out from this? The situation is difficoult and propaply dangerous, and the most frieghtening happenings are same time the most hectic and important events of this crisis. Do we really need to know that there have been also peacefull demonstrations? They arent exactly painting anyhow different picture to our mind, wheter they protest in peace or in fury…the important part is that they protest.

chinawhite is so difficoult to spell in finnish, so bardon me…Its not from your nationality but simple fact that i have to consentrate everytime to write it, so it wouldnt be misspelled.

    Did you learn anything Gollevainen?

Not much. But did learn that you werent so great conversator after all, unlike you have boasted before. So basicly i was dissapointed. So considerning this all, maybe our rally was here, there’s no need from my ide to confront any longer as I can feel as moral winner and bit of superioirity.
