Indeed (since 1988 in fact). I just thought it was such a lovely photo of such charming young chaps it deserved to be seen again, Charlie.

Ohh, it makes me want to burn fifty quid in front of a tramp, it does.

    Probably 😉

Nice picture of Cameron and Osborne in the attire of another of his clubs (The Bullingdon – look it up):

It has, as a scenario, no more. Ashcroft says someone has photos. I understand the press have approached that person (interesting that they know who it is but the public don’t), and apparently they declined to comment. That’s all I know – there is the potential for blackmail if any of the story is true, and no more. I apologise if it seemed I was suggesting anything else.

If someone has the photos, as is alleged, it possibly makes it more than gossip. It gives it the potential to be a story about the blackmailing of the PM. After all, Ashcroft has shown the moral compass of that particular old boy’s network.

Corbyn was already in the public eye, so I’m not sure I follow that logic, John.

Charlie, I doubt Corbyn would be averse to communication with the electorate. I doubt any such communication would survive the editorial policy of Sky/Fox and clearly so does he. As snafu352 said, he had nothing to lose there – he wasn’t risking upsetting the otherwise perfectly-balanced and accurate reporting of that particular outlet, now was he?

Why should he bother talking to people who will just make up whatever they want to anyway? Would you?

JG.. you mean like those famous socialists David Laws, Liam Fox, Jeremy Hunt, Andrew Mitchell, Maria Miller.. Not to mention Lord Ashcroft and Call me Dave 🙂

Not a plot, nothing to plot against. Just a mechanism that has evolved. No conspiracy, it’s just what happens when you make public services with public funding an available cash cow for private companies. The fact it is allowed to happen is simply a facet of the Government of the time representing those such a system benefits more than those it does not. That is not a plot as such.
