I’m certainly up for it. I live 10 mins down the road on the app path. T1 sound good to me(outside the chip shop next to the windows) given the magical predicable climate of Manchester.

If you intend to go outside(recommended) then bring clothing that stops a LITTLE wind and occationally the odd droplet of rain and protect you from temps of a FREEZING nature(It’s not all bad).

Who fancies a drink at the Airport Hotel at the end of the runway?

Post me with more details. I’ll try and work on cheaper flights for You’s

This aircraft blongs to Air Speke. They are waiting for creditors downtown to finance some wheels off a Ford Escort. The livery is coming from a local covert design company (GRA-fee-t) in the L8 postcode, I.D unknown.

IN AGREEANCE – BRING BACK VIRGIN SUN! Who’s gonna start the petition.

Yes they were still giving out the ruk-sacks to the kids full of goodies. Tried to pass for one myself but failed.

Yes all flights were on time except for the return flight of which I mentioned, where it arrived early to LCA but had a tech fault where a filter needed to be replaced. 1/2 an hour and we still arrived only 7 mins late to MAN. And it’s true, the second time I flew with them was in July and the meals were different than the first time and as true as I’m typing this, the trays, cups, mats, and knife and fork packet had Air 2000 on them. That was such a subtle hint to the weary.

Customers are given a choice of engines compatable with the variant of aircraft they have ordered. Their choice is determined on so many factors:

    Fleet cominality
    Engine overhaul contract
    Efficency
    Noise
    Availability and cost of parts
    Number of aircraft cycles
    Reliabilty
What is required of the aircraft using them
    Long or short haul
Environment they will be run in
Overall cost of buying the engine itself

These are just a few of the questions that the board need to answer before they make their choice.

    Hope it has helped.

I flew Virgin Sun twice to Larnaca VMED and VTAN both times from Manchester in 2000 and 2001. Weren’t the cabin crew the happiest friendliess practical jokers you have ever flown with. I was deeply upset when on the return flight from LCA the crew told us that as of October, the airline was being swallowed down by some other greedy tour operator and we would never see them again:( .

Of those who did fly on them, did anybody notice that the in-flight meal trays and utensils had AIR2000 stamped on them???

BA have a 767 based at Manchester operating the daily JFK route and it has been there for quite a few years. I think it replaced the Tristar or DC-10 on the route in the 90’s. As far as I know there is no plans to replace it other than in fleet rotation. The only other aircraft would be the 777 or 744 and these would have over-capacity.

    Is their base at Manchester?

I don’t think it was there for maintanance as Blackpool is only a very small airport with no maintainance facilities for aircraft of this size.
