Well according to the Daily Mail today , there is no money for Cat & Traps , so we are going for the Jump Jet version . Yep we get the underarmed , fat , uneconomical , slow version . However as they are having trouble fitting an arrester hook on any other version …it doesnt make a lot of difference . Lets just hope that no allied aircraft need to make an emergency landing on our carriers .And that he engine driven downthrust turbine gear box & differential hold up under heat & strain ( Goodness know what grade of oil is in that particular unit ??) Any way we would welcome the US Marines as they fly Harriers ….we had some once but some Dumb ****kker sold them off !!
