One of two that I have up in the house.

A winters day at Coltishall. one of RST Hurricanes. The other is Hawk Country. £80 went from my hands to Mike Rondot for that one, Having actually done what was in the picture worth every penny.
It was impossible to fire that AA-6 head-on. SR-71 starts were no secret. Around two hours before the SR-71 from Mildenhall/UK went to the Baltic, the Russian alert pair of MiG-25s from Finow/GDR received their stand-by order. When the SR-71 did its Daisy-dip-manouvre over the North Sea after top-up there those MiG-25s were scrambled to reach the intercept area, where the SR-71 had to pass. When those reached the calculated intercept point in time, their task was fullfilled. The AA-6 were IR and SARH-variants. When the MiG-25s reached a cone behind the SR-71 in time, the AA-6 could succeed. Even a SR-71 could not outrun a Mach 4 AA-6 within that few kilometers.
The turning radius of a SR-71 depended on speed. Even by best planning or intentionally inside confinded space the SR-71 did cut corners (borders) Thanks to the high speed involved, the Russians did not risc further, than to activate the radar of the MiG-25s and show that they were ready, at such speeds the debris will fell over a wide area well into international airspace.
The Russians hoped to learn by that something about the EW-capabilities of the SR-71. So again and again they tried to surprise a SR-71 crew.
In a head-on encounter the closing-speed of the aircraft alone is Mach 6. Not enough time left for the firing-radar to generate a usefull firing solution, even in the 80s.
Whole event was seen on a RAF long range (Air Traffic  ) Radar at RAF Gatow in the mid 1980’s and recorded on its data recorders (which their were many 😉 ) I think the nearest a Mig 25 got on a stern chase was either was 5 NM or 5 Km.
B-52H on MSCFS2, I just love planting Mushrooms of the B83 type, got to be at 30,000ft and 400 kts however or your tail gets blown off and the display flickers a bit. My VC-10 in BOAC markings is fun as well, even comes with 20mm Cannon fitted. 😎 to be honest, lost interest in flying from A to B for no reason long ago.
😮 What planet was this guy on???????? 😮 😮 😮

And saw off attacks by 109s despite having no ammunition, and not being qualified as a Hurricane pilot (he was, IIRC the Sqn Adjutant.)
24 Sqn, me thinks. No Ammo, He always had a way of attacking other aircraft that didn’t require it, for example, his cable and anchor trick that he tried with the S1 in early May 1915.

And, in May 1940, what did he do as an unqualified Hurricane pilot?
Flew one from France to RAF Manston 😀

Is answering your own questions like laughing at your own jokes? 😮
(I got the wrong type, right action.)
Spitfire pilot got the maker right 😀 JDK, got the full order. Yes I do have a bad habit of laughing at my own jokes 😮
Mr Strange, played with Parachutes 😎 , Shooting Hurricanes off ships, 😮 😎 and in making lots of soldiers become paratroopers. 😮 😮 😮
