Just looking at the photo it certainly doesn’t appear to be a genuine Spitfire – look at the thickness of the cables suspending it and the apparent lack of substantial fixings to the fuselage.
I’d say its a glassfibre replica.
But as always I’m willing to be corrected!! Note I’m not putting money or beer on this! 😉

If you’re trying to link the pics on Pbase direct you can’t until you become a “Supporter”.
“Direct linking to an image for use on another website, forums, or message board
Due to bandwidth costs, this requires you to have paid for the pbase service.”

You can upload the images direct to the this forums server. They have to be no bigger than 100kb in size. To attach a picture click on “Click here to choose your file” below the text box of your message, then locate the file/s on your computer then upload them. (Sorry if you know all this :))

Hi Chad,
I use PBase which at the moment is free (although you can ‘donate’ to the guy who runs it). Its a popular site with a lot of users.

http://www.pbase.com

There is no limit to the number of images you can upload and they can be in their original file size, so there is no degrading of the image.
I use it for my small collection (http://www.pbase.com/pixel_eye).
If you read the forums there are a few grumbles but I only had one problem loading batch files – I got around it by doing them one at a time.

Well, I am going to see DBW at the Duxford Astra Cinema!!
It’s a charity screening of the film in aid of The Mark Hanna Research Fellowship and the price includes all day entry to Duxford.
Seeing as I missed the film when it came out, I accepted the ‘invitation’ gladly to see it in the old ‘Astra’, and to help with a good cause.
Anyone else going to this?

But a good idea there Ashley! Will you be wearing the feather boa?…:)
