    RE: Dark Blue World

I’ve taken up the invitation to the charity screening of DBW at Duxford at the end of the month – it’s being shown in the old cinema and the price includes all day entrance to Duxford.
It’s in aid of the Mark Hanna Research Fellowship so a good cause benefits also. I missed DBW when it first came out, so a fine opportunity to get to see the film in the old ‘Astra’ cinema.

    92 Squadron memorabilia –
My mug, in use everyday for “Tea Breaks Only” as inscribed on the side. Tea tastes wonderful out of this mug, and I’ll be lost when/if it ever gets broken. Squadron crest is getting a little ragged round the edges but it is still clear.

…and after a quick search, lo and behold, your cockpit roof – http://pages.citenet.net/users/ctmx3293/toitroug.jpg
attached to a rather nice red fuselage!!! 🙂

    RE: Home build G-MJZP

The “cockpit roof” looks suspiciously like a hardtop for an MG sports car or similar. I’ve seen these on two seaters before now, the panels in the top are nothing more than a T sunroof.
Now I could be way off track with this answer, but I’d bet a pint on it 🙂

For me it would have to be a DOUGLAS A-26 “INVADER”, and I notice that Courtesy Aircraft have an ONMARK EXECUTIVE CONVERSION for sale according to a web search I just did.
Hmmm, now can I save up in time for Xmas, and where can I find a B-I-G stocking!!!

    RE: Florida update

Forgot I’d taken this one – if you look closely you can just make out a figure hanging from the tail. The pic was snapped at 60mph as we drove home and it was pure chance the sign was caught in frame. Made me chuckle anyway.

I’m posting some pics from Fantasy of Flight and Reilly Aviation on pbase http://www.pbase.com/pixel_eye so have a look later on.

The article on Reilly Aviation in the latest Flypast is very good. The tour guide, Richard I think, was very good and made it very interesting. Although he was a bit too good at figuring out personal traits!!! Couldn’t believe that there was a party of Brits from Newcastle there too! It is a good place to visit if you have the time, and want a break from Disney.

Sorry Neilly, it was meant in a humorous way, hence the double wink and a smile.
And yes, it’s quite busy just now on the farm, lots to do and late nights – aerial ploughing is quite hard with the T-storms we’re having right now 🙂
    OooArrrr………watch out for that haystackkkkkkkkkkk

    RE: FAAM Wyvern

Now I would love to see one of these fly – I had a model of one as a kid and it still appeals to me even now. Yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and there are some damn ugly planes out there – I don’t think the Wyvern is one of them.
How about a fast taxi run?

    Chocks away…
