The FIRST is INTERNAL, cooling the blades, the SECOND is cooling the engine internal CASTING exhausting in the afterburner channel, the THIRD is cooling this CASTING and the Afterburner casting, and just in case you didn’t notice there is another channel cooling the external skin of the engine which exhausts between the two sets of con-di nozzles.

I SHORT there are 3 engine casing on M88 vs 2 on EJ200.

Posting pictures like these and asking such a question is not a very scientific way to do it.

Your blurred link show not your second Channel, it’s show your Fan-bybass!
    Nothing new, its all common.
And where use the M-88 Blisks? It’s used aged fishtail technic.

Where is your second M-88-2 cooling chanel?
Your M-88-2 have an ejector typ nozzle.;)
Left photo ejector closed, right ejector open.

    M88-2
    Specific fuel consumption (dry) 80kg/kNh
Specific fuel consumption (with afterburner) 170kg/kNh

    EJ200
    Specific fuel consumption (dry) 21-23 g/kNs x 3.6 =75.6-82.8kg/kNh
    Specific fuel consumption (with afterburner) 47-49 g/kNs x 3.6 = 169.2-176.4kg/kNh

the presence of the MKM nearby had absolutely nothing to do with it ! 😀

    How sound MKS:D

Sens, stop falling to the level of a KKM57P. That poster is an aeronautical engineer & if you have better data, register on the fora & take it up with up him. Otherwise, making sly jibes on the Tejas & what not is ridiculous.

Or would you have me state that all Germans are religious bigots, given KK’s comments & be as lucid as you are being?

Who whose the first wipped out of contest in Signapore ?
    Suchoi!
    Maybe read AFM!:diablo:

But the Typhoon supercruised not at sealevel!
It supercruised above 10000m, in Signapore!

When a 10% gerater plane with a weaker engine should supercruise and a 10% smaller Rafale can’t supercruise than is something wrong with this graphs.

he has already clarified that the charts are for engine to engine comparisons only in terms of their full powers.
1:1 doesn’t mean both have same power but both have their max possible power !
    learn to read graphs please.

I can read graphs and I know that this is crape.
    Beyond 0.3 Mach occurrence compressibility.;)

The graphics at that forum are nonsense to stay polite.
Both engines do use the same medium=air and the content oxygen and the air-pressure is the same for both, when both engines have a similar design.

The true question left is, what amount of installed thrust is in need really? Both cases will have negative effects.

The only difference is the lower bypass ratio for the M-88 that caused a higher IR-level. 😉

a BRF member wrote a code to compare the m-88 to the EJ.

He wrote therefore a catholic physics programm or for Hindus a hindu physics programm!
He must works with non linear gasdynamic equations!
Or how can you explains to that the Typhoon archieved supercruise in Signapore on a hot day and the Rafale failed to do this ?!

The M-88 have not two cooling canals!
It have only one fan bypass!
Only your Rafale have a additional cooling channels like every jet.
What you mean is aircooling on the outside of the engines this add no gramm to the engine!
The EF have min 2 cooling channels!
    1. the fan
    2. the divergent/convergent cooling airstream between inner and outer layer.
Plus ceramic coating in the inside divergent/convergent system that the IR-transmison transform it in an another band.
Plus the same effect like a F-35 nozzle via the reentry triangles.

I think think again! How compatible is the Rafale layout with a future TVC system?

    Actually it’s more like 310 N.Miles: http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-Zhuk-AE-Analysis.html

    Kopp make false assumptions.
The antenna area is not alone for the X-Band, he must subtract the L-Band antenna area.
Then have the Ibris-E not a antenna diameter of 90cm but 80cm!
    The phase shifters make a loss of 3(ferrit)+0,5 dB(radant) = 3.5dB!
    1. you must substract the from the antenna gain the noise values and the phase shifter loss. Gain resulting = Gain ant. – LNA noise – transmit phase shifter loss!

Kopp make this clearly false assumption with the only one reason, he will the F-22!

We should not forget the real life degeneration! The ranges figures apply to tracking, but in order for a target to be tracked it must first be acquired!
That degrade your Range with the exponent 0.5 for a ground based search Radar and for your Su-35 with a exponet of 0.75!

You forget a little bit, the Boeing tanker bribery affair.:diablo:
The Backshish let the KC-767 also appear much more appropriate.

    USAF lease and cancellation

For its Commercial Derivative Air Refuelling Aircraft program, the U.S. Air Force decided to lease around 100 KC-767 tankers from Boeing after it won (bribed;)) the selection process.

Despite many other nations engaging in leased aircraft, there was some criticism. U.S. Senator John McCain questioned whether it is really cost-effective for the USAF to lease aircraft at all, particularly as the aircraft would probably not have many, if any, buyers when their military service was concluded.

In December 2003, the Pentagon announced the project was to be frozen while an investigation of allegations of corruption by one if its former procurement staffers, Darleen Druyun (who had moved to Boeing in January) was begun. Druyun pleaded guilty and was sentenced to nine months in jail for “negotiating a job with Boeing at the same time she was involved in contracts with the company”. Additional fallout included the resignation of Boeing CEO Philip M. Condit and the termination of CFO Michael M. Sears.
