    RE: What do you prefer?

For service and comfort scheduled flights everytime, especially with pre-booked seats, low cost(I’ve flown often with easyjet and Ryanair)is everyman for himself when it comes to getting a seat, and I’ve heard arguments between two supposedly respectable people about who got to a certain seat first,i cant do with all that, it just adds to the stress of flying, I like to be able to relax.

    RE: Heathrow Visitors center.

If I wanna cheap day out at an airport I go to LHR by tube(I work for LT), as Andrew has already mentioned Wimbledon to Earls Court and then piccadily line to LHR , then either spot from Hatton Cross(best when planes landing 27L, not so high)or continue thru’ to T’s 1,2, and 3 for spectators or jump on a bus(free) round to visitors centre(best when planes landing 27R)where the tea and snacks are much cheaper than that overpriced dive on the specs gallery, I very rarely take my car as I resent being ripped off by NCP, Srooge is not my middle name.

Yes I saw the cessna flying around as well although I didnt see the near miss with A319, I found it strange, as the nearest airfield is Biggin Hill, a friend suggested it might’ve been the Flying Eye

    RE: favorite historical site/structure

Here in England there are hundreds of historical sites from castles to churches, stately homes and various other ruins , stonehenge for example. London has St.Pauls Cathedral, Tower of London, Westminster Abbey etc etc but their always full of tourists as you would imagine. The best ancient monuments are to be seen out in the the provinces such as Salisbury Cathedral which has the highest spire in Britain, and Corfe Castle in Dorset, Carisbrooke Castle on the Isle of Wight which itself is a form of ancient monument that the Romans inhabited for some years, but my favourite is an old Norman church situated on a cliff top in Dorset, just its shape is fascinating, its circular with a conicle roof, inside the altar is in the centre of the church its said to 900 years old .
