Srbin would you care to explain to me why the Pakistani Air Force is even in that list.

I just predicted how some of those AFs will turn out by 2020, that is why I put Austria in there and PAF because we can predict how they will be by 2020, understand.

    I just put top 5
    DOH

That Su-30MKI number is around 190 if they can built, 200 LCA is not going to happen most probably will be dropped in favor of M2K in future. In 2020 add J-12 type thing to PAF because according to Richard Fisher it will be introduced with in 6 years of F-22.

Maybe, possibly but IT HAS NOT BEEN DECIDED on, I didnt put J-12 for Pakistan because I am not sure so I just put ??? because they will buy something more advanced than FC-1. Same with LCA, they said at least 200, hasnt been changed yet

Srbin, the Su-27IB/32/34 whatever it’s called this week isn’t intended to replace the Tu-142s, and that it’ll replace the Tu-22Ms is speculation at best- but even if that speculation were true, I haven’t seen any legitimate source that’s contended it’s intended to replace them all. The Tu-22Ms won’t be around in 2020, that’s for sure, but I think another aircraft will be in the offing

Various sources said that the Su-34 will replace the Tu-22 and Tu-142s and it will become a naval sea bomber, operated from Aircraft Carriers and Shore bases. I dont think it can replace the TU-142 but thats what they said for now, so we’ll see.

He is assuming there will be no Taiwan in year 2020 hence no ROCAF.

I didnt list it, and didnt rank it, theres a difference.

a good fantasy is alway good, the LCA is a great ones, the 232 typhoon too , if they got 130 typhoon that will be a great stuff!as the 150 JSF for a country who will operate a likely tiny CVF able to operate 20 JSF at best!

India with 260 Su30 , ha ha ha! lol

350 F22 ha ha ha, they planed 254, and it will be more close to 150!

There will be 200 LCA to replace all teh Mig-21s

They havent decided exactly to cut it down to 130 Typhoons but it remains 232 for now. They also said they wanted 150 F-35s, they havent cut that down yet

Well thats what it stated 260 MKIs, same with F-22.

No disrespect to the people representative of the color
depicted in this conceptual design, but I thought it was exceptionally unique and had held
this off for just such an opportunity to have it released :).

It does speak volumes doesn’t it???

YOu must be one of those Indian idiots.

Umm Eurofighter does not have TVC yet, it can supercruise but at subsonic speeds.

Well I didnt count AWACS for anyone really, yes I shall count PAK-FA into India’s inventory because they will probably get it and they are already financing the project

GUYS NO FLAMING, keep it nice

Hmm I think if France senses India might sign those deals then France wont bother with Pakistan, but if they do not then I think France might offer the Rafale to Pakistan. It seems China is Pakistan’s only reliable friend when it comes to military deals. I think if Pakistan gets turned down for the Rafale then it will turn to China for the J-10, otherwise there is nothing else for PAF to look at, neither for EF2000 is out of question because too many countries have a say in it.

I think Pakistan can afford Rafales, not all at once but in a period of time, a decade possibly.

I am not sure how the PAK-FA will look like but the Russians have released any final concepts of it, if there is a steady flow of cash for development then it shall roll out fast, but I think there will be delays.

In the future I view China and India as Russia’s best aircraft markets, there are the CIS countries that will need to relace all of their aircraft, not to mention some other Asia Countries, few Middle Eastern countries. As for European Markets, well this is alot different form the Cold War, US has stolen most of Russia’s Eastern European market. But for now PAK-FA will only be built for Russia, we shall see how things turn up in the future.

    here are some possible concepts

It’s these Indians who are starting most of the flame wars. Some of them are really stupid enough to go and post as some Pakistanis and they post some really stupid stuff to make Pakistan look really really bad. Pakistanis are not much better either.

Ok guys, please stop flaming for a second, seriously, its geting REAL annoying from both sides, remember the smarter ones let it go.

Anyways, been reading on some random forums that Pakistan is looking to buy some more advanced western styled weapons, any US, Russian, Swedish weapons are out of question but it seems Pakistan might be chasing the Rafale. Pakistan has saved some money in the last 10 years and might be able to purchase at least 30-40 Rafales, other than 150 FC-1s. Any news on this?

Ok so far the Rafale has been offered in Austria, SK where else? BTW How much is it estimated for one EF2000? What is the cost of the F-35 sopposed to be?

Well it only looks like a Mig-21 from the back, but so what? If thats the best configuration for this trainer then so what, its good, it doesnt entirely mean its developed from a Mig-21.

Why did PAF buy like 100 obselete F-7s like in 99 was it? It’s a huge waste of money

that thing looks like any plane out there, F-15, Su-27, Mig-29, whatever.

Mine was specifically a vertically tailless platform with long wings that blend into the fuselage and are bent.

I am sorry but thats not true, you’re comparing French Cars to their planes, thats like comparing apples to oranges, it sounds really stupid of you to say.

The Rafale is a capable aircraft, probably just as capable as the EF2000 and a little cheaper, you pick one. I think the French are overpricing their Rafale a bit but it’s still a good offer when you look at it on the other side. if its 1.4bn for 18 aircraft then its 77mil/aircraft(Euros). It’s expensive. It’s wayyy too expensive, even if you convert it into American dollars its like 94/95 american, wayy too much

AFAIR vertical tails are not needed to fly aircraft, they help them but they are not a must for example like wings. removing the vertical tails will reduce RCS and will reduce drag therefore less burning of fuel and bigger range and faster.
