hopefully they’ll remove it before 14th Dec as i would be rather embarressed in front of my mates if that pulled up to take us to Dublin!
I would be rather embarrassed if ANY Ryanair plane turned up to take me anywhere! :dev2:

Possibly the best 1:400 I’ve ever received – and I’ve got several hundred! 😮 This one arrived at Chateau Skymonster today (appologies for the photography which could have done with a little more depth of field) from a secret location in California known mainly to me and Ren, and I can honestly and whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone who has a thing about IL-76s.
For what its worth, here’s my pic of the real thing (I think Andrew at Aeroclassics will have used this as reference for the model) which is the only pic of CU-T1258 on a.net: The real thing

Ah, the dreaded fences round the aeroplanes – usually spells the beginning of the end. Health and safety – don’t you just love ’em!

You serious?! LOL. 😉
Deadly serious. I do not particularly like the low fare airlines as I believe that they can often be rip-off / con-merchants, especially for people such as me who often have to travel at short notice – in many cases, I believe that the full service airlines present better value (last year I went to Hamburg on BA for £103 in taxes rather than pay Ryanair £0.99 each way to go to Lubeck – by the time I’d have paid all the extras involved with Ryanair at both ends and taken into account the wasted time, BA was far better value and actually cheaper!). I have and will again travel Easy and even Baby if really necessary (and Go in the past, sadly now no more). But I have no time whatsoever for Ryanair and its loud-mouthed CEO (even less since I’ve read the recently published book about Ryanair) and do not wish to contribute to their revenue stream in any way whatever my travel needs.

Well I’d love to join you guys – I could even get the day off, and right now Ryanair EMA-DUB-EMA is £3.99 each way (but total £30 return including all taxes!). However, I cannot bring myself to contemplate flying Ryanair even though they use a 732 on the route, and Baby are double the Ryanair price which is just not worth spending on what will be close to the shortest day of the year.
So have a good one all,

124’s deffo fairly rare in EMA even rarer for 225!! only allowed into PIK, MAN as well STN banned for being too big !
Nope. An-124s pretty regular in N-EMA – recent times there’s been two or three a week, some weeks. Another one in tonight after the visit of the one mentioned above earlier this week. Recent times, I’d be willing to suggest N-EMA has had more AN-124 movements than any other airport in the UK. My understanding many recent visits have been bringing in priority shipments of wide-screen TVs for the Christmas market, although some have been taking the usual suspects to Toulouse!
And as for the AN-225, it is also approved for N-EMA but has not visited yet. When it diverted into PIK a while back, only reason it didn’t come to N-EMA (which was filed #1 diversion) was because crew requested PIK as they were more familiar with that airport.
TriStar (back to original question!) was RAF – usually one every month or two on trooping flights. FWIW, even though trooping they always use the DHL ramp.

The picture of the bent Cessna reminded me of this one… It was the result of Hurricane Andrew. Imagine coming back to the airport to find your pride and joy looked like that?

Are those Ilyushin IL-76s as noisy as they look? (What a beast)
No, they’re FAR noisier than they look! 😀
