Discovery Wings, I think (I have Telewest, but the package including DW is too expensive imv – in order to get just that one channel I have to buy a package including all the dross under the sun).

Glad it’s a Horizon show, it’ll be repeated soon! Missed it due to work committments.

    🙁

But did catch Victors, Vulcans & Cuba on Discovery earlier today (as usual, repeated several times throughtout the day).

    🙂

That Vulcan growl always make me 😀

For me, it has to be a 4 ship Vulcan scramble back in ’73 (or was it ’74?) at Finningley.

Both the noise, and the spectacle of these huge, beautiful, machines not just taking off, but taking off almost vertically (al la Lightening), then doing an incredible left turn at 90 degrees, was simply stunning.

Another memorable display was on the south coast somewhere, maybe Portsmouth, at a Navy day. An F4 did a very spirited routine above HMS Eagle (from my perspective), which made babies cry – Phabulous. I forget the year, and most everything else – but I think it was before Eagle was relegated to chopper carrier and was most probably in the ’70’s!

If you have the images on some webspace somewhere, you can use the “img” button, and enter it’s url. This is more efficient for the forum, using less of their space and bandwidth. You can use several [im g] tags in a single post too.

Mark V, no my issue wasn’t with your particular Amazon link.

But maybe Key Publishing should give us some guidelines on this particular issue.

Can someone make it clear whether or not those Amazon links are “affiliated” or not.

It would be a bit rich to use an affiliated link on another company’s website.

For the uninitiated, Amazon will pay a commission to anyone posting a link to a product using their own unique ID. That person would then receive a commission. It works by placing a cookie on the “buyers” PC.

Now I’m obviously in business myself, but at least I’m being honest about it by being clear about it in my signature – and not hiding it in an obsure manner.

It’ll advertise Network Play on the box, as this is a bit of a novelty for PS2 games.

How did you get the screen shot?

I would have been easy to recognise, fat, balding, wrong side of 40 and carrying one SLR with large flash and a small Fuji digital.

Ahhhh – “balding” sets us apart!

Still – we’re both the right side of 50!!!!

On the PS2, does it have “Network Play”?

Why didn’t you get the PC version?

    Great shame.

The association I have with Shackletons, is that while posted at Lossiemouth in the mid-’70’s, I was more often then not, when on duty, the one responsible for transmitting their daily status to HQSTC/STCOC.

At the time I worked in the comcen there.

Incidentally, if anyone needs computers, components or computer network technical support, 2% of profits from sales we make can be donated to the Vulcan Appeal – simply by going to RAMMS Website and following the instructions there.

So far we have raised £0 for the appeal through this scheme, even though it has been available for at least a year. We’d really like the opportunity to do more.
