Is there any chance that this photo could have been taken at the BACK END of a Liberator, rather than the FRONT of a Wellington? Is there an entry hatch there on the Liberator?

Great film – a must for Hurricane fans, especially. 🙂

Sad to see it’s not yet available on DVD, when so many others are.

I ordered it on VHS from Amazon – probably the last time I’ll ever order a video cassette!

The perfect reason to get a Freeview receiver for your computer, or a PVR for cable or satellite – you can record it just so you can, err, play it back later 😉 :diablo:

I am sure they still fly helicopters and light aircraft carrying fare paying passengers on “air experience” flights at airshows.

What difference is there here? Is it simply that these aircraft don’t perform aerobatics, or don’t fly over the display area?

Or am I out of date, and the CAA have stopped AE flights during airshows?

Is it simply the timing? i.e. Not while the display is taking place.

    Ahhh, right, I see.

I trust your rechargeables are NiMH AA’s. 2000’s should do, although I use(d) 1700’s and 1800’s without any problems.

Unfortunately, I had exactly the same thing happen to my S5600.

I took it apart to see why, and the internal battery had rusted, leaked and generally given up the ghost.

In my case, it was down to my own stupidity, I left it in my car, in the boot, for a few days – and I put it, fairly and squarely, down to condensation.

You can open them up – simply remove the screws and the back, although tight, should slide off – straight backwards. In your case the little battery may have simply run down and, if so, can be replaced.

Mine, though, is irrepairable economically, (the holder broke off the mainboard) a replacement camera would only cost £138 or less – so I’ll probably go for that, as an upgrade to a S6500fd would mean that my teleconverter no longer fits, and I would need a step down ring. But I’m considering the options.

    Mike,
Your above post needs a little clarification. H2O is indeed the chemical symbol for Hydrogen Sulphide.

Smelly water?? I’ll never drink straight from the tap again!

Not a bad way to spend 2 minutes! Great surround sound too. Very Vivaldi.

    😀

What was the camera ship? I’d like to guess at a Vampire or Venom? Whatever, I’d love to see more.

There is a feature to prevent illegal copying.

What is this feature, because I’m able to save pictures to my own desktop without any problems?

“Reach for the Sky” on Freeview Channel 37 (Quizcall….apparently) at 1730 today (Saturday) which, if I remember rightly, features the Shuttleworth Avro 504? Long time since I’ve seen this one.

    Film4 (ch 444 on Telewest) 16:30

Oh that would be a nice sight.

Not sure if there has ever been a Dragonfly within our shores before but I’ve often looked at photos and thought what a nice little two seater it seems to be.

It would be nice to see one at Kemble where it would fit in quite nicely.

It’s more a matter of value for money – I simply can’t afford £1500, much as I would love to – and of course, spending that kind of money is going to reap rewards. But I can, and do, argue that sub £800 dSLR is little better.

It’s more a matter of horses for purses, than horses for courses.
