Yep it’s all a load of hokum and scaremongering. The arguments against digital in the link in the first post are complete nonesense. As we have discussed before.
It is up to the individual to ensure they use a reliable backup medium, and to monitor those backups. That always has been, and always will be the case – regardless of whether you use film/analogue or digital media.
I don’t understand why it looks like a collapsing marque. Surely that means the vertical space inside will be very limited – no room for galleries around the sides on an upper level – it simply looks like a lot of wasted space, no doubt expensive wasted space too.
It would be nice if we could get an architect – or someone who understands buildings – to explain why it doesn’t seem to make best use of available height.
i hesitated for a second but no, that’s no G.50V, I’m 110% sure, and it’s no G.55 at all, I almost know the G.55 by heart!
Completely different landing gears, canopy, wing and tail section.
It’s a postwar plane (there are no swastikas, but the postwar finnish insigna), and it’s not a morko morane either.. I’ve seen those landing gears before but cannot remember where!
Looks very similar to the G55 to me. Finland are reported to have flown G50’s during the war too – so a G50 V wouldn’t be beyond the realms of comprehension. They look very similar, photographically, to me. But I hesitate to say you’re wrong, because I truly don’t know for sure.
It certainly isn’t a BF109 – the undercarriage appears to retract towards the centre of the aircraft and in profile, the nose bears a remarkable similarity in the positioning of various bulges and the air intake underneath. The tail appears to be similarly rounded at the top rear, and the wing looks to be as thin.
Possibly, or a G55

The G50 V seems to have been a version of the G50 with an inline engine:
How about “The Big Show” by Pierre Clostermann?
That gets my vote.
Cool
? 😀
Well when I clicked on the Post New Thread your thread had not been posted. So they must have crossed, “opposing pair” like, in cyberinterwebnetland…..:p:p:p:p
Nothing to get hot and bothered over. Browsers often don’t refresh within such a short period of time.

Beat you by 5 minutes :p :p :p
What a beaut! It goes to show that sponsorship doesn’t have to be ugly. It would be nice, though, if the Sea Vixen looked as smart as that.
Wow! A flying whirlwind, where is she based?
XJ729, Apparently she was at Finningley in 1987:

Probably Mullingar now and belongs to James Kelly:

Ahhh – ex-Red Arrows pilots then. Yes, of course, I can see that.
The war movie “South Pacific” was made in the Cook Islands. USN Catalina’s are prevalent throughout the film.
Ahhhh

Organic or chemical?
