Can any of you livery guys produce a new BY livery based on the classic. I think there must have been great opportunity to update Britannia classic.

I flew in a Canafrica DC-8 from GLA to IBZ in the mid 80’s. It was sub chartered to Britannia. Spanish crew but Britannia meals etc. It was my first flight with a female pilot- and my first visit to the cockpit ! Those were the days.
So thats where Shergar went .
BY 732 often required tech stop at Santiago on ABZ TFS flights in the 80’s
Apparantly La Palma can take anything up to a 767-300.
Air Plus Comet have operated A310, Condor 767-300 and A320’s regular.
Surely all of those could reach UK even with restrictions for a shorter runway.
It certainly used to be popular with the Germans – LTU and Condor operated there in years gone by, don’t know if they still do. Would be interesting to see what types operate.
Britannia used to play Summer Breeze also.
Remember Michael Jackson Jam playing also.
The figures quoted by GLAsgow are wrong…
Based on 764 x 285 seats, the July total passenger count at GLA resolved to an average load factor of 74.56%
I phoned Contintental when enquiring about flights next week and was advised the 764’s that operate GLA-EWR have 235 seats
No room for guess work and presumptive quick online searches in this forum
thank you.
maybe we can get the other engine to do that too !!
the 1st pic of the MyTravel aircraft, i was on that when you must have taken it
So why was it returning to stand ?
My Eurocypria blue 737-800 has winglets and looks cool
Surely they are being used for completely different purposes. High density 737-800’s compared to scheduled CY A320’s.
The Eurocypria 737-800’s were perhaps chosen to fly into airports with no baggage loading facilities etc.( i.e 737 loading is nearer to the ground)

Airport timetables is the book I used when I first started- its a bit of a bible
