Brining up an old thread, last week I met a Dutchman who had ordered several instruments for his Stinson in the USA. They were detected at the customs and confiscated. All were serviced and should be used in an airworthy Stinson. Does anyone know if the risk to detect instruments with radium paint became greater since 2010?
Indeed, Fokker G.1. It is the cockpit of a G.1 equipped with the Bristol Mercury engines. Btw, I would love to hear from people who know a lot about the pneumatic brake system manufactured by Dunlop. I need some parts but have no Dunlop numbers, anyone who can help me with that?
Regards,
Mathieu.
My cockpit under construction.
According this page it was severly damaged in 2006: https://abpic.co.uk/pictures/view/1280588 somewere else I read that ir is under restauration.
Nice find from people with a metal detector: http://www.warbirdsnews.com/warbirds-news/remnants-me-262-excavated-netherlands.html
Indeed, well said Rob! I just received a small piece “scrap” for my Fokker G.1 cockpit project. And I am very glad with it, it was found by a detector guy. I cleaned the piece and will use it as example to make a replica. Without this detector guy I would be never able to do.
Nice movie of a Bf 109 in Norway. The aircraft looked very well preserved under water but when it was at the surface it collapsed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdMzwDYFIFo

Wonder what brand/type is mentioned on the certificates, I guess officially it still is a CASA Buchon.
Smart! Wondering how quick they can change the engine, a day, a week?
In this tread on a utch forum there is a nice topic about designing and constructing a nive flying model of a Do 24. Somewere in the topic there are also photos of the inside of the Do 24 in Soesterberg. The link is: http://www.nederlandseluchtvaart.nl/forums/showthread.php?27823-Dornier-Do24K-in-schaal-1-10
Does someone knows more about the condition of this Do 24? Could it be a pottentional flyer?
Hi Martin,
As I wrote before, a great achievement from you and your team. But do you know if the structure is stong enough to carry an engine? I remember that some one built a meteor engine in a plastic Spitfire. Any idea this would be possible with models built by your team?
Regards,
Mathieu.
What engine will it have?
Wright Cyclone 1820. Btw, also in Demark a D.XXI is under construction that will be flying. More about the Danish project: http://www.nederlandseluchtvaart.nl/forums/showthread.php?40121-Denemarken-Fokker-D-XXI-project
