I wouldnt mind seeing Rafale in there.
Doesnt look like NATO is gonna win this one, and if thats the case, where would Lybia get new A/C from?
How much is this costing per day and what /when is the endgame?:(
French interest can be useful to leverage away any nonsensical talk of selling the second carrier, but the reality is more likely we will commission both in due course anyway, after a change of government between now and then…;)
And a needed big increase in budget.
Well a French Admiral suggests the 2nd CVF should be shared. PA2 problem solved! 😉

Would NEVER EVER happen.
Why?
Because!:D
Except for the George Washington.
My hunch is if there is to be another USS Enterprise it will be one of the new America class LHA coming into production. There is a degree of logic if all future Super Carriers are named after former presidents whilst the new LHA use famous historic names like America and Enterprise.
US politicians are now naming CVNs after themselves. Gotta love self agrandization!
But I thought he already had a carrier (now decommissioned) named after him? Let someone else have a go.
The wonderful US government has decreed that the new CVNs will be the “politician” class. Wonderful.
Why don’t you agree? I think you’ll find the UK is probably in a better financial position then the US is at the moment.
Its not a case of finances. Its the last 20 years of historical precidence. Anyway Im not going to argue the point, nothing anyone can put on this forum will change my mind, lets just agree to disagree. We will see in 10 years what is what, and I DO hope that there will be a turn around in British defence procurement.
I agree with Fedaykin………if the A330MRTT couldnt be built in the US, the Gripen has no chance.
Of course I dont agree with you, but I DO hope Im wrong.
Which means an extra two carriers operated by a closely allied nation like the UK will be welcomed.
Far more aircraft could be packed onto a QE class if wanted then is usually stated.
IF……and thats one big IF………the UK get both carriers. (or even one, the odds are against it)
