    Da Vinci Code – ok but predictable after Angels and Demons. still a cracking, pacey story.

    Just started Chickenhawk by Robert Mason for the ?th time (got to be at least eight!). IMHO the best book about Vietnam air combat. 11/10!!

    Thanks to all – It’s going to be hard work financially, but it will make the process more rewarding I feel!

    As for after (if!) I get the licence, I’m sure that the situation will have evolved by then and there will be the resources to fly somehow 🙂

    In the interests of cost, I’ll stick to the 152, although apparently “free upgrades” do happen if the 152’s are unavailable. My first 2 hours are on PA 28’s, but I’m not worried because I barely know my carb heat from my parking brake at this point in time, having only covered how to make houses get bigger and smaller on command (and mastered very basic turns and trimming).

    As more than one person said, I don’t think Steve ever said a cross word on here.

    I couldn’t find him at Bruntingthorpe last year, something I’ll regret for a long, long time.

    I know it’s still too close to think of anything but sadness, but when the time comes to think of a fitting tribute please count me in.

    What an absolute tragedy.

    Assuming it was one of the terrorists, one would assume that the force of the blast ripped the murdering **** apart. I really hope it wasn’t quick or painless and he rots in eternal purgatory.

    What were the 3 DC3’s then? I’m stuck in Gothenberg and all I had was CNN but I definitely recognised RA and the BBMF Dak – I’m hoping the third was PY 🙂

    Nope – Flying to Bloomin’ Sweden… Given the choice I’d prefer Brunters. Still, there’s always the August one, if work doesn’t send me somewhere else.
