Does liking these angry palm trees break forum rules?
Hmmm.. Moderator? They are GA but the problem is that THEY’RE SO DAMN UGLY! I’d accept a ride so long as no-one found out.

What form did the chavving take?
Someone walked into the house and stole my missus’ handbag (£80, 2 mobiles £60 bottle of perfume, cards etc) and my car keys. Still without my car because I can’t get the filler cap off or get the ignition barrel out.
A replacement for fox hunting? There’s a nice thought. How about a law that requires all dangerous dogs to be trained to attack Burberry?

The US CART race series uses Methanol.
I think the specific power output of methanol is considerably less than that of petrol – but with the use of turbo’s and additives that shouldn’t be a problem. I think it’s also quite hard on the engine so will reduce the TBOH.
Worth what you paid for it 🙂

Well done and glad to see you back!
Get well soon 🙂

The report I saw was in written form (on paper no less!) and had come to me via ROSPA from Shell (it was a couple of years ago but I’m pretty sure of that).
I think the instances are rare but those that have occurred are enough to scare the HSE into issuing advice.

There is a risk from mobiles – Mobiles are banned from anywhere at work where live airbags are stored or worked on, and there have been accidents at filling stations with mobiles (including one where the phone rang in some blokes front jeans pocket and ignited the fuel vapour from the tank – great balls of fire…).
Either way, it’s quite acceptable to do a Darwin on yourself but it’s not so funny if you take others with you 🙂

I want to be able to have a handgun – was never in favour before, but after being chavved over the Christmas break I firmly believe that shooting the gits is perfectly justified. I’m sure Melv is with me on this one.

Chav hunter – a new computer game perhaps?
Enjoy it Andrew – just bear in mind how addictive it is!

Coventry? Not sure of conference facilities on site but there is a Marriot hotel within a few minutes drive.

A wild guess this, but would the length of the bomb be an issue? IIRC the He111 didn’t have long bomb bay doors so it may have been better to stack ’em vertically if they were bigger. Which leads to the idea that maybe construction techniques and technology couldn’t cope with long bombays in the 20’s and 30’s, without comprimising the structure of the aeroplane, hence the comprimise of vertical bombs.
Please bear in mind that this is a theory totally unemcumbered by knowledge 🙂

It’s not even jealousy, just a complete lack of respect for anyone else’s property or feelings..
I do hope that you find out who they are. If you do find out, please allow me to come to the counselling sessions that need to take place in order to make these poor, misdunderstood and underpriviledged members of our society appreciate the harm and upset that thier actions cause [1].

[1] That will be giving them a damned good kicking, followed by a slow, painful castration I hope.
There was (not that long ago) a scrappie on the road from Billericay to Galley (Galleywood?) common with aircraft parts in it.
I’ve not been back for nearly 5 years – is it still there?
JC
Does that cause insurance problems for the club? Or are aviation insurers more sympathetic (and no I don’t believe that for a second).
JC
Mark 12, I totally agree with needing a seperate “sales and wants” forum.
JC
And me – prolly not until the weekend though.
Are Flypast aware of this?
