I think airshows are going to be a thing of the past at this current rate of restrictions and liability. next year I may venture over to some Euripean airshows to get my fix of seeing aircraft displaying not to far from the crowds.
I can never understand why they don’t clear out everyone living in London so planes can fly overhead into Heathrow every 45 seconds.
Anyone know if there is any update to this ?
Free advertising I would say…
Visitors can enjoy a static aircraft display showcasing some of Daedalus’ old favourites
Anyone know what types are turning up?
There is an aviation antique shop in Dorking Surrey. Unfortunately not many of these shops about !
This is one reason why I gave up Collecting instrument panels, things are getting very greify in this area, even the post office are stopping old instruments from being sent and delivered.
Ouch.. Forgot all about this one, a bump on the forum thread may have jogged my memory to attend. Thanks for the review flyingblin any pictures of the Mosquito rudder and price?
Well done on the identification Ian, makes sense as the side buttons look typically French.
I Remember the Dan Air 727’s well, did any other UK airline fly the 727’s ?
Hi Chris, would be good to share your knowledge and experiences of flying a 727. What was the old bird like to fly?
Any good aerojumble acquisitions anyone ?
Thanks for the overview GOKONE
Yes sad day indeed, especially for those who were on board and family and friends left behind. Does anyone have a map of the exact spot where the Trident impacted? Is there a memorial located there?
How times have changed since then, especially political correctness. I remember reading a report of an ice cream seller turning up in his van at the crash site selling lollies and ice cream to the on lookers which had gathered. Won’t be long before we are reflecting on another Trident crash on the 10th September this time G-AWZT.
