Well done all, everyone helped stop someone being had over on ebay. Credit to the seller as well for listening to you and removing the item .
Andy/Tangmere was pretty disgusted with some of the flak he took for stating the obvious on a well known thread so gave up posting here for a while, probably intended to be until the fat lady sings. However he is now an editor with Key Publishing and, as such, can only post on the fora exceptionally.
Do not expect him to return as a regular poster.

Yep, so many stalwarts have left this forum for the same reason, Rocketeer being the latest. Pity because this the knowledge on this forum is less richer as a result.
I didn’t realise he was back posting again on other threads, good bloke and his knowledge was sorely missed.
Great news, Bruntingthorpe is certainly a growing movement.
So out of interest anyone care to list what treasures were spotted at the aerojumble?
Out here in Australia only this week two cops made a low key meeting of an 18 year old youth in a car park, as you know both got stabbed. Of course this youth was not a collector of sorts and neither was he a good citizen like you and I. In the UK PC Dunne also made a low key approach to a domestic incident in a house in Lambeth and got shot dead. The point being you never know the temperament or reception of who you are going to meet. Obviously risk assessments must be done prior to knocking on someones door, having a good inkling that the occupier may have firearms at the address or some sort (albeit inert) raises that risk assessment. I believe that Police Stations have a firearms licensing officer, may be one solution would be for collectors of firearms or inert bombs etc to make the licensing officer aware of their collection so that in future if Poilice did obtain any information of firearms being held they would be aware that it was a collector and the low key approach could be made to the collector via the licensing officer to inspect and verify that they are inert.
The cops are damed if they don’t and damed if they do.
We seem to blame the cops for everything these days, after the blame we then need the obligatory public enquiry at great public expense and then after contacting the IPCC why not call them before the select committee at the houses of Parliament to be questioned before Mr Vaz. It is important that we as a nation and civilisation strive for utopia, nothing but perfection will do. I hope to be at Brenzett aerojumble this Saturday, if the weather is not to good or I can’t find the part I’m looking for then I”m going to blame the cops.
Great pictures thanks for sharing them
Sounds like a good event, thanks for the update on this.
I guess so Brian. Iām the nominated contact re the delivery and the e.t.a. is still not 100% set ā but I will try to get things confirmed tomorrow.
Thanks for the update on the Beverley, looks like it may just be a shell still.
Any update to this folks? I too buy a few aviation artefacts from outside the European Union and keep getting hammered for the 20% VAT.
Is the Beverly cockpit interior now complete? Last time I looked at it a couple of years back it was bare with nothing inside? Do you have any photos of its current restoration?
Just noticed the Royal institute of Navigation and training conference, is this open to all and who is giving the talks please? Thanks in advance
