I am surprised to read all this, I thought everyone with an enthusiasm and passion for aviation and aircraft would be united through their common interest. Is there some sort of pecking order here in aviation circles with the spotter being the lower caste?
Great, look forward to another great event!
Nice change, well done
Wildlife and fast jets, that sounds and interesting mix at a show, somehow I cannot see this working?
Surely if he owns the stuff and he is the seller he can sell for what ever price he wants and when he wants too. It’s his property after all and his porogative to end a listing early if he wants too?
When you sell a car, a house, the kitchen sink or a part at an aerojumble if someone offers you a good price you sell it surely? You are free to choose and decide what to accept for your own property.
Ebay offer a facility to end the auction early should the seller wish to do so and that’s exactly what he done. Free market end of story.
By the way I didn’t buy the stuff and neither do I know him!
One of them is a Vulcan grip I believe, and there is another UK type (not sure what).
Do Vulcan grips have brake levers? Not sure if it is Vulcan
Just come back from the aerojumble, another great day, spent hours browsing through the stalls, I thought it was well attended. Couldn’t understand why we had to park so far away from the stalls though, usually you can park right next to the stalls and I think this tended to happen as the day progressed. However this is a minor grumble. Saw some good stuff for sale Shackleton seats,
complete
meteor and Canberra instrument panels, ju87 grip, quite a few ww1 and ww2 props, couple of ejector seats, lots of instruments and clocks. Well done once again Andy for reviving it!
What was the answer in the end?
DC8’s 60 series are the most comfortable, lots of leg room
Hang on a minute, to find out the registration what date this this aircraft operate the route in the first place?
I understand that it departed at 6.55am but what was the day month and year please??
Its from Manchester to Hamburg, unsure on flight length.
Im 5ft9 but overweight.
Get an aisle seat if you are overweight.
Nice one, I love the Old Pan Am livery, I read that the Pan Am globe emblem was the second most recognised iconic image, the Coca Cola emblem being the first.
Love the 747SP’s do any SP’s (from any other airline) still come into the UK any more?
Big big difference. G-FDZU has new sky interior.
It’s good to here that the conclusion was G-FDZU.
I wonder if this thread can be closed now?
Wow, great news!
Great blog GOKONE, you must keep this up for the next event you attend, so good for us lot who were not there, would be interesting to know the prices of some of the stuff there though!
