Fab day, went there with a few other forumites, hope to see this event firmly established on the aerojumble calendar.
Lancaster yoke currently for sale on spitfire spares web site, rare to see these on the market!
I would also weigh up offers and consider EBay, but weigh up their charges etc against possible sales, I take it you are trying to maximise monies for the family.
Remember offers here will not be subject to those charges etc from PayPal and EBay.
I think the last Lanc or Lincoln wheel went for something like (approx) 1200-1300 quid on ebay or maybe more?
Justice at last for all those involved!
I echo what is said above, we all know the attitude of the authorities and what happened to a certain collector! Harmless as deactivated items may be in this day and age authorities take (and cannot take) no chances.
I hope that all of Ken Wards collection was saved.
I hope that all of Ken Wards collection was saved.
The Varsity yoke looks good! The prince yoke on the link is also quite tasty, surprising that with it being two different companies it is of similar design. judging by the prices they are commanding it looks like a good investment if you can get them from the fire dumps. Anymore abandoned aircraft about?
Yes I too have flown on Emirates 777-300 to Brisbane, cannot fault the aircraft or service on business class.
Always wondered when these yokes from the scrapped aircraft would come on the market, no doubt will end up on eBay, the Nimrod yokes did well in the past and fetched a decent price. The VC10 has a strong following, a true pedigree of an aircraft, pity it’s future is sealed.
eBay is without doubt the way forward, brings Aircraft parts and collectables direct to your living room. That’s my humble opinion.
Not strictly eBay but worth a mention to collectors of aviation memorabilia

Never used this site before, just came across it but thought it may interest someone.
Best return £££ would be listing them on eBay under the aircraft parts catergory.
The first post says it all “Last vehicles 30 minutes before closure” (closes at 8.30pm.)
If this is the rule for which he is paid to uphold then the employee is in the right and correctly doing his Job. End of story.
Good question this one, I understand that the process is ongoing but not yet complete. Are you taking a 757 flight?
Talking of which there seems to be quite a few Nimrod componants on different auction/sales sites, at reasonable prices, seems to be an awful lot of seats about.
Out of interest what other sites are selling Nimrod parts?
