Love the Aviogenex 134’s, great memories, they use to be very common in the summer skies around Manchester!
Boeing 737-800
I always thought that they were anti glare, however I learn something new every day!
Did you manage to book the trip to Dalaman Turkey in the end?
Eh? who are these people?
Some of the more interesting ones from me:
British World Airlines Vickers Viscount
British Midland DC-9
BEA 1-11’s and Tridents
Swiss Air DC-9
Spantax CV990 DC-8’s
Air Atlantique DC-3
Alitalia 747-200
Air India 747-200 A310
Continental 747-200 B727
Dan Air B727
Air Europe B737-200
Orion B737-200
Yep the EVA AIR shot is amazing, this makes the AVP viewing facilities at Manchester seem tame!
😡
Nice shots, well done, keep them coming, oversea’s photos of airfield visitors are always interesting!
Wow! Thats an aerojumble and a half, looking forward to it!!!:)
How are things shaping up for the aerojumble? Any news on the number of stalls booked as of yet?
Good afternoon,
Runway 06, I have this scan for you. The photograph was taken at Schiphol, on January 2nd, 1969 (!!), so it was already there during the late 60’s. I hope you like it.
Kind regards,
Peter
Thanks Peter, nice shot. She always reminded me of the old Dan Air colour scheme. After some research I have found a photo of what she looks like 5 years ago, pity really.

Great times at Manchester!
Has anyone got any of the Kar Air DC-6 (Swing tail) which use to visit Manchester once a week? Was it on Saturday mornings during the late 70’s or early 80’s? My memory fades with time………
Never realised that Concorde had female pilots, however very sad to see that she has passed away. Reading http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbara_Harmer shows what you can achieve in life if you put your mind to it. A girl who leaves school with no qualifications and subsequently flies from the left hand seat of Concorde gets my admiration any day! Long may her memory live on.
For me it has to be flying all the way in the glass nose of a Tupolev 134.
