Funny, Halliburton has been trying to offload the KBR subsidiary that handles the Iraqi business because, guess what, they’re making no money. They get a base fee of 1% of the contract, plus a performance award of up to 2%. A lot of costs are not covered by the contract, such as the need for additional security. Guess what, there’s a lot more of those costs as well. So where is Halliburton, via KBR, making all of this money in Iraq?
