That’s because the A310 sometimes looks like it’s too short for it’s wingspan.;)

I think I’m in a “hole” in the fog, because it isn’t foggy at all, visibility is now good for planes (you could fly them on hand).
    It’s overcast.

People that speak fluently Dutch outside the Benelux are rare. There are (in europe) only 21 million people that speak dutch, plus a few more in Suriname.

Oh yeah that wouldnt make any difference. I think older engines make more noise?
Ryanair does a minimum to maintain their aircraft. I flew on a 738 the other day from STN to CRL and the right engine nacelle was damaged by a ground vehicle or so, and it was extremely un-aerodynamically repaired. It looked like they hammered some bended small sheets of aluminium on it.

Rekkof can you please use punctuation marks!
I drove under a 747-200 of Hydro Cargo at Brussels. Then I also passed past the Melsbroek airbase (Air Force) And saw an ERJ135 and the two A310s. There was also a 727 of DHL taking off when we were driving over a taxiway (north of the airport, rarely used) parallel with 25R.

The fact that your return trip was quiter maybe just seemed so because you sat a few rows more to the front?

What if the spitfire was not used in WWII?
What if the beatles never met eachother?
What if we’re out of oil in 60 years (THATS GOING TO HAPPEN and it’s a good question)?
What if I would have a girlfriend?

What about the Fokker 50? It approaches nose down, and then there is the even more nose-down london city approach! Does it land with all wheels together? In Antwerp I always see them coming slightly nose down. They toch down with a 1° nose up or so, so the nose immediately follows; but when the weather is a bit bad, things get difficult?

Gee you should get qsome books at the library!
In the cockpit you put the cockpit ON or OFF, there is no thrust lever for it. It doesn’t produce any thrust, It is just a small power unit to power the aircraft when the engines are turned off. The APU is mostly turned off after pushback, and turned on a few minutes before arrival at the gate.
It’s indeed a small jet engine that also produces that sound.
