Yeah we are both crew based at LBA ive was based at MAN for 9 years but got sick of the driving so i came over to LBA.We only live 5 min away.Another thing i forgot to say that is the company plans to take the EU to court over not letting them buy First Choice a few years back.If they win which i am told they will,then it will be worth 500 million.So fingers crossed on that one.
All i can tell you is what i know.Things are looking much better now than six months ago.The main problem was the bank lending the company money just incase they went bust.They were able to get it until the end of november at first but that has now been extended till november 2005 so i am told.Anyway in my opinion i think they will be fine and ive just booked our honeymoon with them so they had bloody better be.Its a shame because the airline makes money its the other bits here and there that dont.If i thought we were going to go under both myself and the girlfriend would have left by now.But its your holiday and you want to look forward to it not worry so its down to you mate ? But dont listen to what the travel agents tell you as Lunn Polly are telling people that we are going bust in September,just trying to sell their own holidays i suppose but its not very nice to hear when its not true.Hope this helps ?
Been into LGW a few times on the DC10,s but they dont go in there very often.
The 10-30 does quite a lot of everything really.Its used as a rescue a/c for all of the fleet and also if the 330’s or 767’s are in the hanger then it will operate those routes too.Just to give you an idea ive been to POP,MBJ,YYZ,YYZ and SFB wtih her not to mention all the short haul routes.I hear the 10-10 are being replaced with more 767’s but thats only a rumor ? Ill keep you posted when i find out more.
Yep its true.All going by the end of sept apart from the 10-30.
Should be but there not.Also some small bottles of wine are glass too and then there is all the aftershave and perfume bottles.
T5 i totally agree with you on that.A broken glass or bottle could do a hell of a lot more damage than a set of tweezers.Only my opinion but i think a lot of things after Sept 11th have been brought in to make it look like things are being done but not if it will loose the company money.For me the locked flight deck door is a classic example,ok it might reduce the risk but if someone wants to get in there then they might be able to.As posted on other topics at some time the pilots have to come out or the cabin crew have to go in.The setup is not ideal at the best of times.
LBA RULES dont waste your time or money on AA they suck as most u.s carriers do in my opinion.If all depends on what you want from the flight ? If all you want is a meal a drink and one film (an old one ) then go for them.But if you want a couple of new films a few beers and more food id go for someone else.Just speaking from experience though.

Yeah she is out of date and she might drink too much but she is still one fast girl.Not for too much longer though MyTravel will be getting ride of all four in around 16 months.

The worst for me was on finals into PMI on a Skyservice A320.I was sat on my crew seat down the back and we were at about 150 feet on a normal approach all of a sudden the right wing dropped and i mean it dropped then full power was applied the a/c then sank very quick and we slammed down on the tarmac.After talking to the pilots they told me that the separation after the 757 that we had been behind had not been enough and we got caught up in thier wake.The f/o later told me thats as close you get to a crash and walk away ? Both pilots were shaken up by this.
