The far Fairey is a Firefly and there are two Foxes and what appears to be a Potez 36 in the middle by the side of the left hand Fox and behind OO-AWW.

Hart family, The give away is the Pi shaped frame (amidships) visible in the group photo holding the framework. It is immediately behind the gunners cockpit.

At roughly 16′ long these are a small float an consistent with Moth type aeroplanes. The floats on the Osprey were nearer 23′.

Thank you also gentlemen, I’m familiar with the general use of corrugated or embossed stiffeners but the Provost was originally designed with them but many airframes were later modified and I needed some clarity and this is the place to ask.

Thank you ET. It’s a case of look at a photo for clarification. Love the Flying must be easy….

Something suggests Seafox to me. Dimensions?

It was the Praga E214 probably the prototype. The same photo is in Ceskoslovenska Letadla. The aeroplane above is the Dewoitine D.7. Open house if correct.

What I thought might be the elevator of a Hawker type now looks like a Lysander wing with branch cutting through the trailing edge and a part of a flap just above the policemans head. Unfortunately I don’t have a serials list for the Lizzie.

I’m very sad to read this as “Bill” Randle was a keen modeller and a long time customer of mine who always used to send his orders in his First Day cover envelopes. I always felt that Bill should have been in charge of the RAF Museum which he put so much input into. I always found him a thoroughly charming man.
Blue Skies Sir.

I have a feeling we’re looking at a Hawker Hind which 501 had at Filton. The reference to a Bristol engine might be a red herring.
John
It’s a Falcon engined Canadian Vickers Vedette

This was one of RAE Bedfords a/c in the early 60’s. It came up to Coningsby to do something connected with the Fairey Delta which was running a series of trials over the North Sea. VW441, it was light blue o/a with the Ace of Diamonds on the nose. FR.9 nose and an 8 tail.
