Time to refresh the thread. What is this low wing monoplane?
An Arrow Sport,possibly “F”.
John
That is not the distinctive colour scheme of NFS and they had Cirrus engines. PC crashed in March 36 so I possit this is RC a 60G Moth.

For the DH.6. All you need is the Windsock Datafile No103 and the rigging notes are still to be found. Every rib is the same in both wings, except for the wing section there’s not a curve in sight. either two or four blade prop. I seem to recall DH.6’s were used for Joy flights at Skegness.

Yes this is the Day two seat side by side Biplane named the Errant, which was designed by the designer of the Standard training biplanes. This aeroplane was shipped to europe in 1931 so that the Days could tour around and hoped to get as far as Tokyo. What happened to them?
John
DH.6 Clutching Hand. everybody forgets it. You could not find a simpler aeroplane.
John
I would be errant if I did not point out that this is not Standard.

The fact that the parachute canopy (if complete) is near the aircraft suggests to me that the pilot is quite nearby. The canopy (or a section of it) is a very useful piece of survival kit, it would act as a sunshade by day and give warmth at night. From what I’ve read, is that when delirium sets in the victim often goes walkabout but usually doesn’t get far. Let’s hope he’s found soon. Questions, if it is the Flt Sgt speculated he must have transmitted some info about his plotted course to give one source the statement “wrong course set”, as appeared in an early post. Any one any idea what effect the U/c locked down would have on engine cooling and subsequent range and speed.
John
Anyone spot this as it takes off into the rising sun.
John
Here is to days offering.

The little grey cells suggest the Raynham Brokker.
John
Is that the rear end of a Bristol Fighter?
John
Do please post, the 118/120 is difficult to sort out, One was R3 and the other R.6 but this one is just 6. The left luggage quip was a side reference to all of the aeroplanes currently turning up in odd places and of course Temple Meads is the Bristol Station.
