Someone I know in the industry, told me that they were bought from Mauritius and that they won’t be kept at LBA but plan to open a base at Doncaster.

I’m pretty sure judging by the times, it was the 644 returning in the other direction. If the dates in your sig are right, I will be dispatching the 644 tomorrow, the flight you are returning on.

Yep, I’ll be on that flight arriving from Aberdeen tomorrow 🙂

Brilliant photos! What time did you take the FlyBE Dash – 8? If it was at lunchtime I was onboard flying up to Aberdeen. 🙂

Thats absolutely ridiculous! Isn’t it ethical as well, what about those with dietry requirements etc.

I am actually flying Flybe tommorow on the Amsterdam-Southampton route. I’ll eat my own food and let you know if I get stopped, they might grab it off my hands as I eat it hahaha! 😀

I’m flying FlyBe tomorrow, though from Leeds to Aberdeen. I’ll eat my own food and see what they do.

The one I’m doing is at The Aviation Academy (http://www.theaviationacademy.co.uk) in Leeds and its accredited by London Metropolitan University. It is a Foundation degree in Aviation Management and Operations. This course takes two years full time. To get onto this course you need to have 200 UCAS points.

After these two years, if I gain a Merit in the Foundation degree, I can study for an extra year and top it up to a Full Honours degree.

Overall it takes 3 years to get a Full Honours degree. IF you study this course at London Metropolitan University you can work towards the Full Honours degree straight away, whereas at the Aviation Academy, at the moment you can only study up to the Foundation degree, then apply for the Extra top up year once you have found out the outcome of the Foundation degree.

If you’re interested in aviation management it’s worth reading a book called The Airline Business by Rigas Doganis, essentially an economics textbook but really interesting and no doubt of use to your course

My tutor advised me to buy that book a few months ago so I did. Not read much of it, just bits and pieces to help on a topic called International Aviation Regulations.

    Do you work in Aviation?

    Hi Rob,

I’ve just been accepted on the Bsc Aviation Management at The Aviation Academy in Leeds starting this September. It’s run in conjunction with London Metropolitan University.

Good Luck on the course when you start 🙂

Just found this on the Ryanair website: http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/news.php?yr=07&month=may&story=rte-en-310507

They will serve Leeds 3 x weekly on a Tue, Thu and Sat.
On a Tue the flight will depart LBA at 14:15 arriving in SNN at 15:20, whereas on a saturday, the flight will depart LBA at 11:35 arriving in SNN at 12:40.

At the moment the flights are 0.01p each way. These flights launch in November.

    Hope this helps.

I couldn’t resist… just booked another 3 seats from Luton to Dublin in October. 🙂

I’m a bit confused about when this sale ends. It says “Midnight Monday” – does that mean round about now (even though flights are still bookable) or in 24 hours time?

It means in 24 hours time. Tonight is Midnight Sunday.

Me and 6 mates just booked a day trip to Dublin from Leeds in August – 14p return 😀

Is there any chance that you’ll be working on it FlyMonarch, or as it’s leased, does it have its own dedicated crew?
