Well done….now you can see why it’s not publicised on forums.
Everyone happy now?“I’ll email the airport as suggested to find out the ‘real aircraft and operator’.”
I can’t believe you would be that stupid sunjet757 ! As if they’d tell you.
If you claim to know that much about aircraft you would have guessed it was a special Nimrod from EGXW, and not one of the others from Scotland. And my guess is the operator is RAF!
Any more info required, Reg, Pilot and crews names, equipment used? The other aircraft that were involved.
Why shouldn’t we talk about it on this forum, that’s what forums are for. As for it not being publicised, well as it was on the national news there’s a pretty big chance that alot of people saw it.
As for guessing that the operator is the Royal Air Force (RAF), it doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to work that out when they are the only current operator of the Nimrod.
On the evening of 9th May, West Yorkshire police arrested the wife of one of the 7/7 bombers in Leeds. That was on the national news, so that is all I can think the Nimrod was over Leeds for.

That video was shown last year on here in this thread: http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?t=52541
Great video though.
What you mean by that loads are decent and yields are not so good?
James
Well from that, it basically means that they had good load factors, but didn’t get enough profit from each passenger to make the flight viable.
Great photos Danny mate, my favourite is definately the Pegasus B737.
Why would PIK get most traffic? GLA is the closest airport.
Prestwick (PIK) won’t be getting the most traffic!
One team plus its fans and officials will be going to Glasgow (GLA), whereas
the other team plus its fans and officials will be split between Edinburgh (EDI) and Prestwick (PIK).
Today is the official handover date to the new owners of Leeds Bradford International Airport. The new owners are Bridgepoint Capital who have bought the airport for £145.5 million.
The announced their plans on BBC Look North tonight about what they want to do at a cost of £70 million.

Not that I agree with Ryanair’s marketing tactics, especially with the whole airport advertising trick (ie Girona = Barcelona)
One of the funniest of airport advertising is saying that they fly to Copenhagen, when Infact they fly to Malmo in Sweden, but call it Copenhagen!
Basically, Yes, It is Ryanair having a dig at Sky Europe by insinuating that Sky Europe will disappear from the industry as Ryanair grows bigger and stronger.
They have also had a ‘dig’ at other airlines:
– Arrivederchi (Goodbye) Alitalia
– Bye Bye Sky Europe
– Bye Bye Latehansa (Lufthansa)
– Bye Bye Baby (BMI Baby)
– Bye Bye EasyJet
As a couple of people on this forum already know, I recently started working as a Dispatcher with Servisair up at LBA. I have only been doing this job on my own for 3 days, but I love it, and so far the company seem perfectly reasonable even if the pay isn’t the best!
Glad that your enjoying your job, infact you were the Dispatcher for my flight from Aberdeen last friday (13th).
If airlines have the same ground handling for all the airports that they operate into, I know that:
FlyBE are handled by Servisair, as are Thomsonfly, Air France, Jet2, Ryanair.
However, I know this from Servisair looking after these airlines at other UK airports, so I don’t know if it’s the same for Newcastle.
Good Luck for your interview. 🙂
Brilliant photos and great weather. Will any of the locals from LBA be there on friday afternoon as I’ll be inbound on BE644 from Aberdeen.
After reading that, it all seems a complete mystery as to why he’s been suspended. He seems to be good at his job, after the launch of new routes and the increase of passenger numbers.
Singapore Airlines operate a 5 x weekly service direct to Singapore.
Forgive my ignorance but isn’t it Open Skys across Europe or would this not be covered
If someone doesn’t provide an answer, I’ll dig out some of my coursework as I’m studying International Aviation Regulations at the moment. I know it is open skies with full traffic rights on any EU route for a carrier that is part of the EU, but I’m not too sure whether they could carry any fare paying passengers.
