That is quite worrying to think this maintenance man is working for another airline now. In reading that article, it sounds as if he doesn’t show any remorse for his actions “I knew this was coming!”
As for the comment about the sun printing news about England’s game in the World cup tomorrow, it’s just jealousy because Wales didn’t qualify! :diablo:
My word, i’m having a heart attack!!!
The Sun……printing news other to do than England, the World Cup, and Rooney’s 1mm long metartarsel or what ever it is?! :diablo:
Or is my viral infection affecting my reading too and not only my speech?
I’m sure its just summat to fill page 1492 with the rest of it being about tomorrow’s Game ๐“Its only in da Sun”
Quite suprised tho
Definately a great achievement for my local too. I saw that on the local news last night.

Why is a thread that is nearly a year old been dragged up?
Wow they really are expanding. Good news for Gatwick. I’m still waiting to see if they’d ever launch a second route to Aberdeen.
Nice photos. Can anyone tell me what them red things (theres 4 of them) are on the front of the wing on the BMI Embraer?
nah had to dash on up to Peterhead straight after the landing!!! will catch it taking off sooner or later.
Very nice photos. I don’t envy you having to drive from Edinburgh up to Peterhead, I’m just along the coast inland in Turriff.
Absolutely brilliant report, well worth the wait. Great that you got one airline going and another returning. If that was me and my mum, she wouldn’t get back on the same plane, if there had been a fault, even though it was fixed!
Brilliant photos there too, I like the closeups of the Aer Lingus, especially the engine one and the full length fuselage one. Also really like the 3rd photo, of the Dash 8 parked on stand.
Very nice photos. Really like the wing views. Also I like the Iberia A320, as I’m flying them next month.
Not sure how famous it is, but thats the Severn Bridge that you saw.
Ace photos. That very once photo, the A319 of China Eastern looks very dirty. Best one I think is the B777 of Singapore Airlines.
Interesting read, can’t wait for part 2, and the extra day you got.
It will be 16 including TFS (And Chambery and Geneva, although there only winter routes areant they)?
Did the aircraft have fire engines round it?
Whilst there, I think it was probably around midday or a bit after, a First Choice 767 G-OOAN landed and was subsequently followed by a group of fire engines. It wasn’t on the arrivals board, and I watched it fly from West to East on downwind for RWY24, so I can only assume it was an Atlantic crossing going into somehwere like MAN or LGW.
So in other words, yes there were fire engines around it.
Brilliant photos. B737 looks better with winglets IMO. I really like that BMI though. Looks as if you had nice weather in Manchester too (for a change). ๐
Never been but: There are 12 Check-in desks, 5 Gates, and 3 Baggage Reclaim belts. There are 2 passenger terminals, and 7 aircraft stands. Annual capacity is Approxiametely 2,000,000. The airport has a very restricted choice of facilities; passengers will find no financial services and only basic dining and refreshment options, while shopping is restricted to duty-free only. There are no business facilities on-hand at the airport. Airport facilities at Kos Ippokratis Airport (KGS) include:
Duty-free shopping and dining and refreshment facilities
Business facilities at the Neptune Hotels Convention Centre and Spa
Car hire / car rental companies at KGS airport
Parking spaces for 220 vehicles
Disabled facilities
Bus, taxi and hotel shuttle transfers from the airport to the islandโs resorts.
Thats all I can really find.
