I don’t know the Gripen very well (to me, it’s the “little Rafale” that Germany and France could have designed), but I think Typhoon is still lagging behind Rafale and Gripen.
Omni-role(rafale) and swing-role(gripen, EF) is the same capability. Its the ability to change roles fast when needed to. Its a more mature form of multirole.
No.
Mirage 2000C was “multi-role” but required reconfiguring while on the ground (i guess there are much bette exemple though)
F/A-18 was swing-role and could handle air2air and air2ground in a single mission.
Omni-role is swing-role and a strong (if not total) multi-role capability.
Please, do not reduce the effort it is to integrate every modes and weapons to the aircraft. I don’t want to be called a fanboy, but I have yet to see a Gripen or a Typhoon in charge of all the missions Rafale is about to cope with… I’m not saying Gripen/Typhoon will never be able to do the same, but they will need more time, more money, just like everybody !
😀
Pathetic ! No problem with you Loke.
France will not buy F-35C but we already operate a CATOBAR fighter. Thus, the choice of a CATOBAR fighter by UK would make sense for interoperability.
This is the only explanation I found.
In the second video :

The man says that one year before the first flight (early 2012), they will start taxiing tests.
This is not a fair analysis. It’s only a marketing document. We have to choose carefully the articles we want to comment upon.
Rafales chances in India is virtually ZERO .Source FT….
Not only for Rafale, don’t you think ?
France has given a new name to the AASM :
HAMMER.
Article by Robert Wall on Aviation Week
The INS/GPS-guided version is the SBU-38 (SBU=Smart Bomb Unit)
The laser-guided version is the SBU-54.
The INS/GPS/Infrared-guided version is the SBU-64
Yes…

In addition, Rafale will go to India :

It is also worth noting that the Charles de Gaulle will take part in exercices with the Indian and Saudi Navies before going to Afghanistan.
I don’t know what you call F4… If you’re talking about an eventual stealthier mid-life update/redesign, you might be true. LoL
Rafale, younger than Gripen NG ?;)
Look 3 messages above. 😉
Looks like Pepe ran away and hide when questioned on that FAB papers, and it could be that he dreamed up the whole theory all by himself.
Yes, of course. Dream whatever you want. 😉
Question : would defending his PoV be worth the effort for PP Rezende ?
He may simply have much more to do than wasting hours here, trying to convince those who simply can’t accept what he wrote.
To me, it seems that he’s done all he could do.
Incredible, you found a 9 years old thread !!! :D:D:D
For the CFTs, no one paid, nothing happened.
Rafale international is indeed what you say but the forum that you are referring to is not that, it is the “international rafale forum” and as far as i can see it has nothing to do with Dassault, Thales or Snecma
You said :
For the Rafale please type:
http://www.dassault-aviation.com/en/…esign.html?L=1
I know that this is only a detail. It is also highly unprofessional for an organisation trying to sell a 60? million euro thingy on the open market.
In my answer I gave you the following links :
There had been a http://www.rafale.co.kr and a http://www.rafale.com.sg
There are :
http://www.rafale.com.br/I thought there was one for Greece, and I don’t know for India…
The link to MY forum is in my signature, not in my answers. I wasn’t talking about my forum when I wrote :
Thanks. It shows that Rafale International can communicate in different languages !
I was talking about the links above (Brazil, Switzerland, Greece… South Korea, Singapore…)
where does it say that this is a site managed by Dassault?
😀 Just read :
The consortium Rafale International includes Dassault, Thales, Snecma. It is written everywhere.
