Sorry Duess I have to dissagree.
I know I am very biassed, but I like the new Gulf-Air c/s as it trys to be different from the other gulf airlines. Incidently Oman Air is looking to start flying into LHR in the near future.

It must seem like Im doing far too much homework on this topic.
This is an abstract from the Blackpool airport spotters site…
    Blackpool Airport, Saturday 15th September

“Apart from a lot of rain, there were a few movements on the main apron today. PA.28 G-EPTR and Agusta 109 G-PWER being the most notable – the latter arriving and departing under callsign “Alan Mann 1”.

Alan Mann offers a charter service for both fixed and rotor.

I too see this Helo when I see my g/f when she flies to LHR. I am currently trying to find a pic of it, I know its a Agusta 109 and its privately owned.

Its a pity that she is going this way, but to clear a few points up. She was commissioned 4th May ’61 into the Indian navy, after being bought from the RN in ’57, she was originally laid down as HMS Hercules back in ’43!!
The Indain navy has still got our old great ship HMS Hermes now known as INS Viraat and is still going to be around till 2010 ish which is great for such a loverly old ship.
In ’89 the Indain navy put forward a plan for 2 new 32,000+ ton a/c carriers which will carry the mig-29 and sea-harrier!
As far as I am aware this will be the only navy using these two a/c side by side.

    INS Viraat…note the Sea-Harriers and KA-31 Helix
