I bought the boxset of Planet of The Apes a while ago and started watching them last night,
The first film Planet of the Apes I , thought was a desent enough film , well made and with a nice twist at the end.
Now for the second film 😮 Beneath the Planet of the Apes where do I start it has to be the worst film I have ever seen ,I had forgot just how bad it was , all the mumbo jumbo about The Lord Bomb and the Holy Fallout.
What was the writer’s on when they wrote this rubbish ,I have the rest to watch but after this rubbish ,I dont know if I can.

The Mist-based on a Stephen King mini story.Ably directed by Frank Darabont,who also directed two other King stories ( Shawshank and Green Mile),this is a cracking creepy monster story.There’s tiny monsters,medium size monsters,great big monsters and spiders of all sizes,and you wouldn’t wanna play with any one of them.Add to the mix a religious vs scientific debate about how to get saved,loads of “jumpy” bits (some you see coming but most times you don’t),a pretty good 5.1 soundtrack,a couple of beers and some popcorn and you should have an entertaining 126 minutes.

I have to admit thre was some cracking monster’s in there,but for me the story was lacking, I wanted to know where the mist came from , what the spiders and things were doing there,and what the hell was the thing with the tenticals.
For me the film was about the message it gave out about religion and how gullable we are , rather than the monsters

Well after reading a few reviews on here I watched The Mist.
Has a SCI-FI/Monster filmI thought it was very average a few good parts , but not much till the end that had a very good twist
What the film did very good I thought was the use of religion,and the way the women was seen at the start has a crackpot,but slowly she got others to think the same has her , and perseve her has a god so to speak,even to the point of blaming the whole thing on one poor solider and getting her ‘follower’s’ to kill him and sacrifice him to the devils outside.

Has a Horror film I will give it 5 /10
Has a film to show how easy we can be made to do things,even kill 9/10

Cloverfield.
Even thought the reviews were not good,and the filminmg was Blair Witch style(the worst film ever),I thought it was good,excitement was good ,actor’s were belevable and I thought the monster was excellent , you did not see that much of it ,but what you did was good and the little baby one’s excellent.
The ending was left wide open for another one , will look forward to it

I don’t think they would have flown across the pond all the way with the undercarriage down, landed at Shannon and then Manchester. More likely a medical diversion.

Well thats what I was told ,but if there was a problem with the undercarriage,what would be the most cost effective for Lufthansa.
Withdraw the aircraft from use and repair it ,at the cost of hotels ,meals for a couple of hundred people,taxies at the other end for people who have missed there connection,cost of the repair,extra wages for the extra crew if they could get one , extra parking charges and what ever else.
OR if it was safe to fly (which it must of been) fly the aircraft home with only extra cost being a couple of fuel stops and repair the aircraft at the own repair base , and more importantly you will have happy passengers home with minimal delay.
I would of thought the latter would of been the best all round,but that is just my own thoughts.

Was told it had called in for fuel,it had a undercarrige problem ,and had flown the whole flight with its wheels down,also called in to Shannan.
I bet that was a rough flight
