Virgin Media – occasional loading issues here (I suspect advert related) but nothing to get wound up about; there was a brief outage on IIRC Tuesday evening (but the Key website was also down); some problems with other boards going off line on occasions – for a FREE service, all OK – Smile and Wave!! 😉
Same for me yesterday as #9 – my Norton software identified it as a risk and quarantined the advert; if it helps I might be able to gather data from there!?!
Kev,
If you craft your communications on this matter with just a fraction of the thoughtfulness, consideration and well-reasoned logic that you so often do with your posts on here, then I’m sure that you will win through.
Words are a powerful tool, so focus your frustrations into any communications and you will prevail.

Now corrected Charlie – as for NAM “Still Going Strong!” – oh that’s IX(B) Squadron related!!! 😀
The last time I went to the ‘pictures’ to see a film was in May 2013 at the Kinema in the Woods, at Woodhall Spa. This was a showing of “The Dam Busters” as a charity fund raiser – a brilliant gathering c/w flypasts by the BBMF Lancaster and a pair of Tornados!! 🙂
Jim,
Good to see you posting on threads like this.
I know all about the ‘black arts’ of car parts restoration from observing my father-in-law; makes Aerobooting look like child’s play!
It was partly this understanding that prompted us to push the Scammell couplings – still it should get the museum some coverage in some different heritage publications!!
It will be nice when they get Brough plaques unveiled later today.
Oh look another Tory mp resigning today after taking money he shouldn’t–they just don’t get it do they http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-27208966
£1000 a day -real world they live in – – – – – – not .
Not sure if we have the Monster loony party or the green party here.
To add a small degree of political balance it must be something to do with the Newark air (posted with tongue in cheek by someone who was born and raised in Newark) – the former Labour incumbent’s ‘history’ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiona_Jones
As posted about these parts before in all my dealings with Patrick Mercer (former MP) I have found him to be an excellent supporter of his constituents and he has always tried to help resolve local issues – he will be missed by many in Newark.
As for one mooted replacement …………… 😮 😮 😮
Thought of the much plugged museum when the whole UKIP/Newark story hit, had visions of the collection being sized up to attack France or something, under the possible new local administration.
I walked through Newark today for the first time in months and I was hoping to get ‘paped’ – I’d already worked out how I could get in a mention for the V-Force event and Cockpit-Fest; but NF bottled it!! :eagerness:
I was egg-static with the reception that he was given!
See his minders scrambled him away; by the look of them they might have been poached from another organisation!!
Someone from Nottingham ‘expresses’ their opinion! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-27242557 😀
You’re quite right critter it should have been, which just goes to show that it was my ‘eggasperation’ with Charlie’s post #85 that started it off!!
It was a dull afternoon, that followed a long morning of proof reading and caption writing – so the Nottingham story provided some amusement!
As for the egg box Spitfire – my notes show that details were passed on to at least three other museums / organisations by May 7th last year; after that I heard nothing else.
You see despite what some on here think, Spitfires aren’t all they’re cracked up to be!!! 😀 😀
Sorry I will stop now! :eagerness:
Could well be – your last comment reminded me of this thread from just over a year ago http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?123942-Spitfire-‘Replica’-in-need-of-a-home
