I’ve been asked to advise those forumites who have booked space at NAM’s Indoor Aeroboot / Aerojumble on 2nd March 2013 that there is a slight delay in sending out the spaces allocations and passes.

This delay is due to uncertainty about the location of the AHL ‘Counting Them Home’ interactive display that will be arriving at Newark early next week – its temporary location will affect the positioning of a few Aeroboot pitches. So please don’t panic about the non-arrival of your paperwork – spaces are still available.

Finally for now another new album has been added featuring activities between 1978 & 1982 – Super Sabre, T33, Mystere, Sioux, Sycamore, Meteor NF12, Heron, Safir and site moves! 🙂

Sorry about that C R the tab identifies the website design company – but it took me a while to spot what you were meaning. 😮

That said it has also highlighted another issue – an old email address on the map pop-up page!!

You must be after a job with VAQAS – in three inspections they’ve highlighted several non-functioning hyperlinks and the like on the NAM website, but never those two issues. I’ll ensure that they’re added to the ‘snag-list’ for the long overdue update of the website! 🙂

Personally speaking I’m with DB re the RCAF scheme, albeit I’m only one of several who have an input in such matters – I recent months I’ve had a lot of WWII family contact relating to RAF Winthorpe and 1661 HCU, so such a decision would be especially meaningful to me! We shall see!!

As for #32 – I wouldn’t hold your breath benyboy!

I’m sorry that you didn’t get a reply jw – that’s not like the NAM Curator, who normally handles all of the email enquiries to the main museum email account very efficiently. Albeit some of the duties regarding the Vulcan 30th Anniversary ‘bookings’ are currently being handled by me!

As for the c/n on the cockpit of KF532 I’m not sure. I’ve checked my records and I don’t have it listed, but I’ll check when I’m next over at the museum. Hopefully it won’t prove as contentious as that for the Auster AOP9!! 😉

I watched the perfectly good quarters rot away until the only option left was to demolish them….

Yes David it is pleasing to see the Harvard restoration now being tackled – the big question (debate) that will eventually be faced is, which colour scheme should it wear?

For the hardy souls out there the museum is open today details in here – but it is icy, yet thawing fast!

A couple of updates have been added to the News & Information page of the museum website.

One provides an update about the Harvard restoration, whilst the other shows a World War I RFC document.

Reservations for the Vulcan Anniversary event have stepped up a gear, with a steady flow of interested visitors staking their claim for a free look inside XM594!

So far there is no weather watch report for the museum this weekend, but sadly looking at the weather forecast it might not be long before one appears! 🙁
