Earlier in the week I was talking to someone about RAF Bicester and your project and they highlighted an article that recently appeared in a Sunday newspaper about property for sale on the site. How much of the former RAF site are you aiming to secure?

People just need to become a member and apply for their tickets as specified – I’m unable to attend this years so I didn’t apply, thereby giving others a better chance! 😉

All in all a very worthy cause to support! 🙂

I read that as Newark Air Museum opens in China!

Got as far as considering if they had made replicas of everything before I relaised my mistake. 😮

Who’s been talking – it was meant to be a secret?? 😀

I believe that MARTSU = Mobile Aircraft Recovery Transportation & Storage Unit; I once wrote a MOD approved piece for FlyPast when they moved the Gannet AEW3 for NAM. 😉

Something else for the end of the week / weekend – if any aviation radio / avionics buffs are attending the Hamfest 2012 event, which is organised by the Lincoln Short Wave Club on the Newark Showground on 28th & 29th September – then don’t forget to call in at the air museum! 😉
