Sorry for the delay folks – I’ve managed to grab a bit more time for the first half of the external cockpit photographs to be uploaded in an album on here!

These were all taken on the Sunday – sorry if you only exhibited on Saturday!

Rocketeer – if it helps I could provide digital photos from the 2004 event onwards! What are they hoping to do with the CD / book?

… plus don’t forget that certain variants had two Viper engines and were capable of carrying nuclear depth-charges! 😀

Thanks for posting that photo Mike I’d forgotten 😮 how big the ‘lake’ was on April 29th 2012; the work that was done between that event and Cockpit-Fest has worked to an extent, but moved smaller issues elsewhere!

I guess another positive feature this weekend was that we didn’t have to cancel like OW did!!

An update has just been added to the NAM website listing the Visitor Voting Winners, who came from Cambridge, Worksop and Nottingham.

Sorry Mike I didn’t explain things very well, it’s nothing to do with us having land drainage work done.

When this work was done late last year to create the roadway area where the Meteor NF14 was parked and then out to the original taxiway. (Until then this was all just grass.) The work affected the surface levels elsewhere on the site.

The water that was there this weekend wasn’t a patch on what was encountered at the V-Force event during the monsoon on the Sunday, which virtually surrounded the NF14. In early May additional limited work was done to resolve that problem, but with the recent rain sadly the issue moved down the site towards the path across to Hangar 2 – close to where you were located. Sorry!! 😮

When money allows that area will also be re-laid as well; bizarrely a mini-survey was made on Saturday and photographs taken to accurately identify the problem areas.
