Outline details of AHL’s next talk, ‘World War One Aviation in Lincolnshire’ have appeared on the BBC Things To Do Website – the talk is on Saturday 23rd June 2012 and more details can be found here on the BBC website!

I will try to find fuller details in due course.

    dailee1,

‘Simulators’ at Newark Air Museum include: Argosy Procedures Trainer (ex-XN819); Phantom Simulator (ex-Coningsby & Wattisham); Gnat Procedures Trainer; Jet Provost Procedures Trainer; Swift Procedures Trainer (CIM); Slingsby Firefly CIM; Nimrod Procedure Panels (unserviceable); and two Link Trainers.

These items are available in varying degrees of operability and access! 🙂

Plus before anyone comments further – I doubt the museum would look to acquire these latest items!

😀 The first email to the author of the Telegraph article has bounced – but access via another route is now being attempted!! 😉

Is that the plugmeister in the doorway of the DC-3… returning from a NAM leaflet drop over Lincolnshire? 😀

    Rob

😀 I wish – although I was at Coningsby last Thursday afternoon!! 😉

All I can say is what a week! 😮

A further update has just gone live in here and there are now 29 cockpits listed!! 🙂

Keep ‘em coming and still no fessing with regards to the two mystery items!!!

Mike – I’m sorry to hear about your son’s accident, I hope that he is soon on the mend!

Early arrivals and extended collections are not a problem as long as NAM knows times etc. in order to facilitate appropriate access; your best option would be to notify Bill O’S directly as soon as you have any idea of timings.

Sadly I cannot personally offer any move assistance, although I’m sure people would be prepared to help once you’re on site!

    Southfield Site

As some people may know when developing any site these days biodiversity is an oft-used word in the overall process as part of a recent biodiversity study of the Southfield Site the museum has generated a list of species seen on or over its site – if anyone is interested the list accessible via this link!

There was a nice Typhoon project displayed at last year’s Cockpit-Fest event; there’s a photo in an album on this link!

😮 Having missed you all together whilst taking photographs last year I have taken steps to ensure that the previously mentioned incorrect classification has been rectified!

If you let me have an up to date image I’ll try and get you featured in a future update!! 😉

    Still no ‘fessing’ forthcoming?

A rare mid-week Cockpit-Fest update has been added to the NAM Website this morning – it must be the ‘organiser-in-chief’ celebrating his beloved football team’s success on Saturday evening! 😀

A question from me – is anyone prepared to ‘fess-up’ about the two un-detailed exhibits that are listed as ?????* ?
