“You have mail!” 😀
G1 – you’re not going to be able to post any more attachments!! 🙁
Over at Newark the ‘good-weather’ request has been submitted and in the worst case scenario even ‘Lake Winthorpe’ was filled in ten days ago!
It’s also good to report that a healthy amount of local publicity is starting to appear along with some banner adverts on some local websites!
Here’s looking forward to another great event and don’t forget the Aeroboot for some face to face aviation trading! 🙂
PDF versions of the Cockpit-Fest poster can be supplied via email to anyone who sends their details via PM! 🙂

Varsity ……. it could illustrate the training of V bomber crews ?
Already being done plus it’s inside; the Hastings (albeit outside) adds another aspect of the same; oh for a Dominie! 😉
Apologies for the selective quoting! 🙂

You could drift down into Nottinghamshire if you wanted – Halifax aircraft having flown from Balderton Langar and Winthorpe. 😉

Newark Air Museum is again hosting a couple of film crews in the coming week; starting out tomorrow with the filming of part of an episode of the BBC programme ‘Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is’ – obviously the object for sale has an aviation connection.
The following Friday a local BBC News film crew will be visiting the museum to record an item for a Bomber Command story, with an East Midlands ‘flavour’; this could also feature another forumite! 🙂

It might be worth trying on AiX as I believe some people on there are assisting Aviation Heritage Lincolnshire with some research / possible publication; although someone may come along here to assist. 🙂
As a slight aside the following item http://www.newarkairmuseum.org/newsItem.php?id=453 is still live re Ruston’s 1000th airframe; but it may come off the website very soon.
As a further aside a few years ago NAM put a selection of Clayton & Shuttleworth glass-plate aircraft negatives plus drawings into the Lincolnshire County Archive; this was after having saved them from the skip when N Franklin’s house was cleared.

NAM has something coming up for the young visitors during the forthcoming Jubilee half-term holiday (Saturday June 2nd to Sunday June 10th inclusive).
It’s called Jubilee Jaunt and more details can be found in the usual place! 🙂
