A couple of updates have been added to the website news page – one details a new object of the week and the other outlines the recent move of several airframes into the on-site workshop!

That sounds good jr – if you mention costs you’ll be getting calls from people wanting to buy them from you!

It’s nice that you have plans for other family members to visit and I haven’t forgotten the promised write up about ‘Snowdrop Sunday!’ 😉

I was over at Newark today for the Vulcan presentation and it was good to meet up with a couple of forumites; I learnt a few things about Vulcan Ops and hopefully this type of event will be something that we can build on in the future.

Had a quick look over the HS-125 cockpit, which looks like becoming another excellent project to grace the dispersal point at Cockpit-Fest 2012; an update has just been posted in here!

Whilst on site I noticed that in addition to the Harvard going into the workshop the Rallye has also followed it under cover and this will form part of the winter work programme for the museum volunteers.

Guten abend …. I had it in my mind that it was a larger event than that!

We may even have a chance of getting close to that number of tables ourselves at our 29th April 2012 Indoor event – the day after the V-Force gathering, when we plan to ‘expand’ into the marquee that will be next to Hangar 2.

I hope that you’re able to make some more good purchases!!

It sounds like you’ve acquired some good base material for some interesting new pieces!

How many sellers are at the event? I bet it makes NAM’s Indoor Aeroboot look rather small!

Good to have you on-site and I’m pleased that I was able to help sort things out for you. 🙂

It sounds as though you got caught up in the A46 problems around Newark; sorry about that it comes with area I’m afraid. 😮

I hope to meet up with you sometime and have a closer look at your ‘pride and joy!’

    Sorry, rushing too much … http://www.newarkairmuseum.org/gallery.php 🙂

The volunteer doing the Shackleton has done a brilliant job and we’re just hoping that the weather lasts so he can get more done!

I’ve just downloaded my photos from yesterday and I thought the sign reminded me of something …… 😀

Earlier in this thread a question was asked about the Meteor NF14 cockpit. I still haven’t been able to access the cockpit but I have managed to get a photograph uploaded into the Meteor NF14 Album on the website that shows one of the new panels under assembly!

News that hasn’t quite made it to the website includes information that the Harvard fuselage was moved into the workshop yesterday – more details to follow when I can confirm the details.

Finally I understand that a cockpit may have arrived on site today, which I believe will be on a short loan at Newark – however I’ll let the owner, who does post around here formally confirm the details himself! 😉

I managed to call in today and the new signage looks great and so in keeping with the surroundings – I even left some more booklets at the Staunton Arms! 🙂

An unusual Object of the week has been uploaded this week … something else that sadly was lost from the former RAF Winthorpe site details as ever can be found here!

It sound’s as though you had a good visit, which is great news – and well done on the shop spend; it all helps towards the museum’s running costs and ongoing development. 🙂

It would be good if you were able to attend again next Saturday, but you will be asked to contribute feedback to our market research for this type of activity!

All being well I should be around next weekend to give a helping hand.

Thanks for the comments Tin T!!

My partner and I have taken up the slightly eccentric passtime of bagging Vulcans this year – the aim being to visit as many of the survivors as possible without being too obsessive about it!! This is the 5th one we’ve bagged so far – still a lot more to go 🙂
    ………..
I wanted to get some shots of this one before it’s resprayed…

It looks like you had good weather for your ‘Vulcan Visit!’

On the repainting side it’s being roller-finished – oh for a building to allow spraying!

For other Vulcan fans out there I hear tell that a few members of the public will be attending this trial presentation next weekend 😉 – if things work out it could become a ‘regular’ activity at NAM! Also don’t forget the other V-Force items featured here!
