Sorry Air Ministry I wasn’t aware that you had a problem about your location(s) and I wasn’t aware that there were any perceived ‘choice spots’. 😮

I will discuss the topic at the museum and see what can be done!

Sorry if the selling locations are still proving a problem to stallholders – we gave out location plans to everyone that came into the event to encourage people to look around the whole event.

Sadly with 48 tables to find locations for we have to try and use every available spot in Hangar 2, which becomes even more complicated when sellers request multiple table sites – as there’s only a limited number of spaces where these can be accommodated.

Not wishing to hijack Keith’s thread, but how can we address the problem – a ballot for all stall locations?

    HE HAS A BEARD!

    It’s a part of a disguise! 😉

You’ll have to come down to the next Newark Indoor Aeroboot on 12th March 2011 if you want to check for sure! 😀

Glad that you had a good day Matt – it certainly does beat the site you mentioned!

I understand a new cockpit has arrived at Newark today – Canberra PR7 WH779; I anticipate that an update may go on the NAM website either later tonight or more likely tomorrow!! 🙂

Thanks for the kind comments, which I’ll pass on to everyone that helps make the event happen – including setting up, tidying up and returning Hangar 2 to normal display conditions. 🙂

Some interesting feedback, comments and gossip on a range of topics!

    Good luck with Shoreham.

Good to meet you Keith and you’ve posted ‘some’ 😮 nice pictures – sorry about the coffee, although I did distribute around 50 cups of tea and coffee first thing. 🙂

Only one stallholder waiting for the Aeroboot when I arrived to open up the site this morning! 😀

Hopefully everyone had a worthwhile event today and a short thank you message has been added to the News Page of the NAM website.

Sorry about your coffee Keith! 😮

Hope to see some more of you in 2011!! 🙂

Is anyone reading this on their i-Phone because they’ve already set off as they want to be the first in the queue to get in? 😀

Remember gates open at 8am for stallholders and 9am for buyers!! 🙂

Bruce – Newark’s first Indoor Aeroboot for 2011 looks to be set for Saturday 12th March; this will be confirmed in time for handing out forms etc on Saturday – I’ll email you through the details.

Andy – don’t forget to bring along some leaflets / fliers on Saturday for your event!

    Saturday 6th November

Just back from Newark where all of the tables have now been set out for the Indoor Aeroboot on Saturday – I hope to see loads of you there, in ‘buying mode!’ 😀

In post #233 I did say I wasn’t taking ‘refreshment orders’ but if it helps bring in some buyers – “The drinks are on me!” 😀

Joking aside – they are anyway for stallholders first thing in the morning, but for the ordinary visitors here’s what the cafe offers! 🙂

Andy – I’ll keep an eye out for you. I’ll be the slightly harassed looking person in the hi-vis jacket; possibly with a tray of teas and coffees for the stallholders! Sadly we don’t do an ‘earlybird’ ticket – flat fee all day; opens at 8am for stallholder access and 9am for buyers.

As for the Enthusiast Tour Brian I wasn’t aware myself that a date had been set ; wherever possible we try not to clash with other events, but sometimes it isn’t possible!

Regards the quote below and the reference to the Boots issue with Asbestos….

If you read my note carefully I was talking about people who wore gas masks… not people who worked in a factory making them…

I was talking about the ‘no asbestos’ part – perhaps you ought to re-read your original post, or was that an urban myth!

… it reminds me of a situation which is similar that happened recently. A visitor to the museum told my me that the sale of gas masks was illegal – after all he told us knowledgeably “they contain asbestos”. My 81 year old mother then pointed out that for nearly 5 years during the war she and all her class mates and most of the countrys children had to wear one for a 1 hour lesson first thing in the morning … and as she pointed out – she is still going strong. … the masks don’t contain asbestos either… but it was another urban myth being spread about…..

I heard of the changes at FlyPast via an email from ‘deepest Rutland’ – always found my contacts at both titles extremely approachable. 🙂

    I would also echo Bruce’s views re-Kelsey!
