RE: Heavy Lift…have they gone bust?

I’ve just been on A.net and the most recent photo is of their A300B4-203F taken on Sept 15 at Frankfurt, so who knows?

RE: Whats your fav classic car?

Gotta be the AC Cobra after a certain Mr Carroll Shelby got his hands on it and stuck a thundering great Ford 7 litre V8 under the bonnet, something some of you may not know, the Cobra is responsible for the 70mph speed limit in Britain after one was tested on the M1 in June 1964 at around 180mph, the politicians heard about it, suffered a sense of humour failure and now were stuck at 70mph.

    RE: Thunder City Buc

Yeah, I saw that show as well, I’d love to go to Thunder City but I’d sooner go up in the Lightning T.5, I wonder if they perform the classic Lightning rotation?, I guess they probably don’t to preserve fatigue life, oh well I can always dream!

Nice one Merlin, hope you got some shots, I think Black Mike was one of best colour schemes ever to grace any F-4 let alone a RAF variant.

Unfortunately I won’t be going but if anyone else is and is able to get pictures of FG.1s XV582 and XV586 and post them here I would be so grateful, by the way, is XV582 still in the magnificent ‘Black Mike’ colourscheme?
