RE: Airspace capacity reduced after crash

On BBC Radio 5 Live this afternoon they said the amount of traffic handled by Swiss ATC is to be reduced by 20%, kind of shutting the gate after the horse has bolted don’t you think?, but surely given the current amount, and inevitable increase in air traffic particularly on short european flights given the increase in destinations by budget airlines, the best course of action is to increase the amount of Air Traffic Controllers, the comment by NATS that Swiss airspace is not large and would be easy to re-route won’t hold sway with airlines, especially the budget ones, who will not want the extra fuel costs associated by the increased journey, what say you guys?

RE: US-rogue nation in the making?????

I imagine the reason the U.S. does not want anything to do with this stupid idea is because of the flood of nuisance complaints that will inevitably follow from anyone that has ever been detained by them in war or peace keeping ops, its just that the U.S. is the only government with enough guts to oppose yet another level of needless beaurocracy, something our own government dare not do in case we upset europe, we have the War Crimes Tribunal for these matters, its like the stupid Euro Army idea, what the hell do they think NATO is for!!!!

    RE: Airtime Publishing

I’ve not seen the CD Rom so I can’t commment on its quality, but judging by the quality of the free samples I’d say it was a safe bet.

The DHL 757 crew were not Belgian, the pilot was British, Capt Paul Phillips, and the co-pilot was a Canadian, Brant Campioni.
At the end of the day a very tragic accident.

    RE: Waddington Airshow

Yeah, saw that too, very optimistic, anyone know what the deal with the Marineflieger Tornado was, I commented to my amigo that on landing he came in way too fast and touched down a long way down the runway, never heard the thrust reversers kick in, next minute there is an almighty delay in the flying program and some, from my position at least, indecipherable comment from the tannoy about the plane stuck on the runway, anyone able to clarify?
