Not just photos, reasoning also. Of course the end result of such reasoning depends upon the assumptions once starts with. My assumption is that the Chinese know basically what they are doing and that they are rapidly closing those gaps in knowledge and experience that still exist. If you don’t share that assumption — if, rather, one of your underlying precepts is that China = rubbish — then of course you will come to very different conclusions.
But if one does accept the first assumption, then there is little reason to doubt that J-31 will indeed outclass F-35 in several respects, as it lack’s that aircraft’s STOVL variant imposing constraints on both airframe and powerplant. And J-31’s single large weapons bay will almost certainly offer better stores options than F-35’s twin bays, at least for A2A loadout.
