They do that for local noise restrictions. However the runways alternate every week, so next week it will be 27L before 3, 27R after 3. Gets very confusing.

Myself and A330Crazy are 99% confirmed for this Saturday as well. We are expecting 27R for landings in the morning, switching to 27L after 3PM. If the winds dont like me then it will be landing 09L all day. BBC seem to think it will be 27s thankfully 🙂

Anybody else interested in an LHR meet on Saturday? 3 people is already more than some I have been to 😀

Nice report, love the Dash 8s. I narrowly missed one at the weekend unfortunatley and got stuck with another 146 instead :rolleyes:
