O&D is Origin and Destination. It means that you are not using the flight to connect to a different detination eg most EDI-FRA pax are flying to FRA to connect, they are not flying to FRA to visit Frankfurt. MAN-NCE would be a largely O&D route, as people are not likely to use the service to connect at MAN or indeed NCE.

“Ceased Trading” is of course a commonly used contemporary piece of business jargon, which I would argue as having no clear fixed meaning, at least in the context that we are trying to define it in.
