Whilst the seats are the same, trying to move around in a single aisle aircraft is a lot more difficult than a dual aisle one. Whilst I’ve not crossed the pond, 5 hours in a 737 with one aisle was far more difficult to get up and walk around in, and was noticeably less comfortable than the same length of time in a 767 with 2 aisles. I think you would probably get a similar answer from most travellers.

The grease problem is what casued the previous 3 or 4 incidents of a similar nature, PIA denied this was the case this time and assured us all it was a totally new problem.

arguable only by using flawd arguments. LOL
Not really, both are quite valid points. Elgan is a spotter therefore hes entitled to his point of view over what interests him at his local airport.
Secondly a 757 is a single aisle aircraft and thus is less comfortable in the pax eyes especially for a transatlantic operation.

Because from a pax and spotter POV 2 757s are arguably worse than 767s or 777s depending on your preference of aircraft type. Oviously from a business POV it is a good decision.

I think the “pity” referred to the 757s rather than the “two”.

Being asked to resign is just a way of sacking somebody and trying to save a bit of face. I doubt he really wants to leave, its only as a result of this investigation into his conduct that the board have decided he has to go.
